Honor X9c To Launch Soon As Honor Teases New “Toughest” Smartphone


Last year, Honor introduced the Honor X9b, a mid-range smartphone that boasts several features to protect against drops. One of its standout features is the “Ultra-Bounce Anti-Drop Display,” which uses shock-absorbing materials. Honor claims this technology allows the device to withstand drops from heights of up to 1.5 meters, enhancing its durability and providing users with peace of mind. Now, the company is teasing a new “Toughest Honor Smartphone”. It might be the X9b’s successor, likely the Honor X9c.

Honor Malaysia is currently teasing the arrival of a new, tougher device. It may come as the Honor X9c. Although the teasers do not provide a clear view of the phone, they prominently highlight the device’s name and emphasize its structural integrity. Honor X9b Specs Recap

The Honor X9b features a 6.78-inch 1.5K curved AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,200 x 2,652 pixels. It also has a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. It boasts an Ultra-Bounce Anti-Drop Display, which Honor claims can withstand drops of up to 1.5 meters. Powering the device is the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It ensures smooth performance and ample space for apps and media. For photography enthusiasts, the smartphone offers a triple rear camera setup. It includes a 108 MP primary camera, a 5 MP wide-angle lens, and a 2 MP macro camera, along with a 16 MP front camera for selfies. Additionally, the Honor X9b features an in-display fingerprint scanner for secure biometric authentication.

The Honor X9b is powered by a robust 5,800mAh battery that supports 35W wired fast charging. In terms of connectivity, the device offers comprehensive support for 5G networks, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, and NFC. It features a USB Type-C port. Furthermore, it boasts an IP53 rating, providing protection against dust and water ingress, making it a durable choice for everyday use. Users can choose between two stylish color options: Midnight Black and Sunrise Orange, allowing for personalization to match individual preferences.
