Samsung has just unveiled the latest generation of its premium Android tablets, but this time there’s a slight twist – one model is missing. As anticipated, the standard 11-inch model is no longer part of the lineup. Leaving just the 12.4-inch Galaxy Tab S10+ and the 14.6-inch Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra. Despite this change, these tablets bring some impressive advancements, including a new chipset and refined design.
Discover the Power of Samsung’s New Galaxy Tab S10+ and Ultra with Dimensity 9300+
For the first time in the Galaxy Tab S series, Samsung has opted for a MediaTek chipset, the Dimensity 9300+. Built on TSMC’s third-generation 4nm process, this powerful chip includes one Cortex-X4 core running at 3.4GHz, three additional X4 cores at 2.85GHz, and four Cortex-A720 cores at 2.0GHz. Its graphics are powered by the ARM Immortalis-G720 GPU, while the MediaTek 790 NPU provides enhanced AI capabilities.
Samsung promises a significant performance leap compared to its previous model, the Galaxy Tab S9, which was powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. According to Samsung, the new Dimensity chipset offers an 18% boost in CPU speed, a 28% improvement in GPU performance, and a 14% increase in NPU capabilities. This should translate into a faster, smoother experience, particularly for gaming, multitasking, and AI-powered applications.
Both the Galaxy Tab S10+ and Tab S10 Ultra come with a base configuration of 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card. For users who need more power and storage, the Ultra model offers an option with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. While both tablets feature similar storage configurations, the Ultra model is designed to cater to more demanding users.
In terms of design, the dimensions of both tablets are nearly identical to their predecessors, the Tab S9 series. The only noticeable difference is that both new models are 0.1mm thinner and about 15 grams lighter. They maintain the same sturdy build with Armor Aluminum construction and IP68-rated dust and water resistance, ensuring they are durable and ready for everyday use in various environments.

Gizchina News of the week
Let’s dive into the specifics. The Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra boasts a stunning 14.6-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2,960 x 1,848 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. This large, vibrant screen makes it ideal for entertainment, creative work, and productivity tasks. The tablet also features dual front-facing cameras – a 12MP wide camera and a 12MP ultra-wide camera. Making video calls and content creation a breeze. Powering the Ultra model is a massive 11,200mAh battery, the same capacity as the Tab S9 Ultra, which supports Samsung’s 45W fast charging.
While both tablets share the same powerful chipset, their connectivity options differ slightly. Both models offer Wi-Fi and 5G versions, but the Tab S10 Ultra supports sub-6GHz 5G and Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be). On the other hand, the smaller Tab S10+ includes support for both sub-6GHz and mmWave 5G, though the latter will only be available in select regions. The Tab S10+ also offers Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) instead of the latest Wi-Fi 7 standard.
The Tab S10+ features a slightly smaller 12.4-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2,800 x 1,752 pixels. Unlike the Ultra model, which has a notch to accommodate its dual front-facing cameras, the Tab S10+ integrates its single 12MP front camera into the bezel, maintaining a more traditional look. Both tablets feature anti-reflection coatings for improved visibility in bright environments.
In terms of battery life, the Tab S10+ is equipped with a 10,090mAh battery, similar to the Tab S9+. Like the Ultra, it supports 45W fast charging, ensuring you can quickly get back to work or play after recharging.
Both tablets launch with Android 14, bringing the latest software enhancements and Galaxy-specific features. The S Pen, included with both models, can now be used to access AI features through Air Command. For those using a keyboard cover, there’s a dedicated Galaxy AI Key, making it easier to summon the AI assistant. New AI-powered tools include Circle to Search, Sketch to Image, and Note Assist, which organizes, transcribes, and even summarizes speech recordings. Handwriting Help is also available to tidy up handwritten notes while maintaining their original look.
In addition, these tablets can double as smart home hubs. With Galaxy Home AI, users can create 3D map views of their homes. Making it easier to locate and control SmartThings devices.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+ and Tab S10 Ultra are available for pre-order now, with sales beginning on October 3. Pricing starts at $1,000 for the Tab S10+ and $1,200 for the Tab S10 Ultra. Both models come in two stylish color options: Moonstone Gray and Platinum Silver. Offering a sleek and modern look for premium Android tablets.
