Xiaomi Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro To Feature Snapdragon CPUs and LCDs


Xiaomi is reportedly developing its next tablet lineup, the Xiaomi Pad 7 series. Considering this series’ history, the new lineup will likely include two models: the Xiaomi Pad 7 and the Pad 7 Pro. Today, a new leak shares some details about these two premium slates.

Recently, a Weibo tipster known by the alias “Experience More” shared key tablet specifications. Although Xiaomi has yet to confirm these details officially, the leaks suggest that the Pad 7 series could come with notable hardware improvements. As a result, they may arrive as solid competitors in the tablet market.

Xiaomi Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro Alleged Specifications

The upcoming Xiaomi Pad 7 series will feature Snapdragon processors. Furthermore, both the Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro will come with an 11.16-inch LCD display boasting a 144Hz refresh rate. This contradicts earlier reports that suggested the Pad 7 Pro would feature an OLED screen.

Processor details have also shifted from earlier leaks. Initially, it was speculated that the Xiaomi Pad 7 would use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The Pad 7 Pro, on the other hand, will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. However, the latest information indicates that these processor choices might differ, though specifics are still unclear.

Xiaomi Pad 7

The latest leaks suggest that the Xiaomi Pad 7 will feature a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3. The Pad 7 Pro will feature a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor. Charging speeds are 45W for the Pad 7 and 67W for the Pad 7 Pro, according to 3C certification details. While the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 is a decent chipset, it certainly falls behind the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

The tablets are also rumored to run HyperOS 2.0, based on Android 15, and pack a 10,000mAh battery. They may include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security and support WiFi 7 and USB Type-C 3.2 for fast data transfers. Although the launch date remains uncertain, the Pad 7 series is expected to debut soon.

We expect more details to appear soon. Xiaomi will unveil its Xiaomi 15 series soon, and we wouldn’t be surprised to see the tablets at the same event. Of course, we expect a confirmation.
