Samsung has launched the new Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, a slimmer version of the Galaxy Z Fold 6. This new book-style foldable device boasts a sleek design and improved specs. However, the smartphone will only be available in select regions, leaving many global fans disappointed. Sadly for many, the smartphone will only be sold in Korea and China. This limited release has confirmed earlier leaks about its availability.
The design, first shown in early leaks, is also accurate, as the smartphone’s new camera setup and slimmer build were revealed before launch. The smartphone features a flat back and sides, though its edges remain smooth for easy handling. All three cameras are set in a vertical line on the back, giving the phone a sleek look.
Thinner and Lighter with a 200MP camera
The Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition measures 10.6mm thick when folded and 4.9mm when open. It is 1.5mm thinner and 3 grams lighter than the Galaxy Z Fold 6, making the difference easy to feel. The device weighs 236 grams and measures 157.9 x 72.8 x 10.6mm when folded. When fully opened, its size is 157.9 x 142.6 x 4.9mm.
