POCO C75 Launched with Helio G81-Ultra and $109 Price Tag


The Poco C75, which first appeared in leaks and was certified by the FCC earlier this month, is now official. The new smartphone a Poco C-series device comes for the low-end segment. It has decent specifications for non-exigent users and an affordable price. Keen observers may recognize similarities between this device and a recently released Redmi smartphone – The Redmi 14C. POCO follows its tradition of launching rebadged smartphones, and the POCO C75 is the latest Xiaomi smartphone to get a new makeup.

POCO C75 Specifications

The new budget smartphone boasts a large 6.88-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 720×1640. It supports a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate and an impressive 240 Hz touch sampling rate for responsive interactions. The display’s peak brightness of 600 nits promises decent visibility even under bright conditions.

Under the hood, the Poco C75 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G81-Ultra processor. That’s a new revision for the quite old Helio G81 with some tweaks for performance and power efficiency. Despite all the marketing around this “Ultra” revision, it’s the same 12nm chipset with ARM Cortex-A75 performance cores and Cortex-A55 power-efficient cores.  Storage and memory options include either 6GB of RAM with 128GB of storage or an upgraded 8GB of RAM with 256GB of storage, providing users with flexibility to meet their needs.

The Poco C75 sports a 50 MP primary rear camera. It comes with a secondary decorative lens, enhancing its visual appeal without additional functionality. Selfie duties are handled by a 13 MP front camera. The device runs Android 14 layered with HyperOS, Poco’s latest custom interface, which adds a unique set of features and design touches.

The phone also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button, along with a classic 3.5mm headphone jack for wired audio. Powering it all is a robust 5,160 mAh battery that supports 18W fast wired charging. However, it’s worth noting that Poco has opted not to include a charger in the box, so users will need to source their own. Unfortunately, this unpopular trend is now hitting low-end smartphones.

Pricing and Availability

The Poco C75, measuring 171.88 x 77.8 x 8.22 mm and weighs 204 grams. It is a sturdy device with a familiar design and specifications. For those who get in early, the Poco C75 offers budget-friendly pricing: $109 for the model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It rises up to $129 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. Available in black, gold, and green, the C75 provides users with affordable options in both storage capacity and color.
