Xiaomi 15 Series Starts with 12GB RAM
Lei Jun explained that the base model of the Xiaomi 15 series will have 12GB of RAM (up from 8GB) to make the device even faster, especially for AI tasks.
He also shared that the Xiaomi 15 will have better design, use power more efficiently, and make it easier to use. Because of these upgrades, the price will be a bit higher than the last model. Lei Jun said this price change is due to the new, more powerful 3nm chip tech and higher costs for memory and storage.
Enhanced Display for Xiaomi 15 Series
Xiaomi also revealed updates to its display technology: the Xiaomi 15 series will feature a customized M9 luminous material with a dual micro-cavity structure. This advanced panel aims to enhance luminous efficiency while reducing power consumption. According to Lei Jun, the Xiaomi 15 series achieves the power efficiency of a 1.5K display with the clarity of a 2K screen, with more specifics expected at the press event.
Xiaomi SU7 Delivery Goals
Lei Jun also provided an update on the delivery timeline for the Xiaomi SU7, confirming the target of shipping 20,000 units within the month. He assured that the team remains committed to this goal and will offer status updates at the beginning of each month.
