OnePlus started its flagship party for next year with the launch of the OnePlus 13. However, we also expect the OnePlus 13R to tag along once the flagship reaches the global market. For comparison, the OnePlus 12R launched in January, which is about two months after the OnePlus 12. Considering the nearing launch, we’re now starting to see the OnePlus 13R on certifications. The upcoming device appeared in listings from NBTC, SGS Fimko, and the Global Certification Forum (GCF).
OnePlus 13R Confirmed in Multiple Variants
All three listings confirmed the name of the new smartphone. The OnePlus 13R will arrive with the CPH2645, CPH2647, or SPH2647 model numbers, depending on the region. The handset is also confirmed to feature the n1, n2, n3, n5, n7, n20, n28, n38, n40, n48, n66, n77, and n78 5G bands.
The rumors so far, point to the OnePlus 13R coming with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. After all, it comes for this lineup to bring a year-old flagship SoC instead of the latest one. This is a price-cutting measure. The OnePlus 13 has the Snapdragon 8 Elite, so the new OnePlus 13R will likely bring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Honestly, last year’s flagship SoC can still bring a decent performance and can easily beat most of the mid-range or premium mid-range chips in the market.
The OnePlus 13R will also boast a Full HD+ screen, likely AMOLED with a 120 Hz refresh rate. We expect the phone to keep most of the design language of the OnePlus 13 with some subtle changes. Despite the early leaks and rumors, we didn’t see any design revolution with the OnePlus 13. So, the phone will likely keep the same design as its predecessor. Lastly, we expect the phone to include a huge 6,000 mAh battery.
We expect more details and leaks to appear in the next weeks.
