Vivo’s Y18 series is composed of three distinct smartphones, the devices are namely the Vivo Y18, Y18i, and Y18e. Today, the smartphone maker unveiled a “t” model as the fourth member in this lineup. The device keeps this lineup’s essence as a low-end smartphone. The Vivo Y18t has decent specifications for users who want basic usage. Let’s dive into its specifications below.
Vivo Y18t Specifications and Features
The Vivo Y18t comes with the Unisoc T612 SoC Octa-Core chipset which offers a mid-range performance for basic app usage. The processor has 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of Internal Storage. Users can further expand it with a micro SD Card slot up to 1 TB. The handset runs Android 14-OS with Funtouch OS 14. We hope it gets the future Android 15-based Funtouch OS 15 update. This should be because low-end smartphones have a minor priority in the pipeline.
These specs revolve around a 6.56-inch LCD screen with a simple HD+ resolution but a smooth 90 Hz refresh rate. Interestingly, the panel is quite bright, with 840 nits brightness. It’s not on the most expensive smartphones, but it’s a colorful display for an entry-level smartphone. The display has a notch cutout for the 8 MP selfie shooter. Moving around to the back, there is a dual-camera setup. It comprises a 50 MP primary camera and a mostly decorative 0.08 MP auxiliary unit.
The Vivo Y18t has a huge 5,000 mAh battery that draws power through a USB Type-C port at up to 15W. Vivo states that the bundled adapter can fully charge the battery in 145 minutes, which means 2 hours and 20 minutes and we don’t know why Vivo is sharing this as a good thing. Moving on, the phone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner that doubles as a power button. Furthermore, the phone has Bluetooth 5.2 and is IP54-rated.
The Vivo Y18t sells in Space Black and Gem Green color options. It costs INR 9,499 ($115) and is available in India through Vivo’s official website.
