Xiaomi recently unveiled HyperOS 2, bringing many advancements to its software ecosystem. Until now, Xiaomi had only shared an official timeline for HyperOS 2 updates within China. Now, the company has confirmed the global timeline. The great news? Global users won’t need to wait until 2025 to experience the latest version of Xiaomi’s OS.
Xiaomi HyperOS 2 Global Timeline
The initial rollout of Xiaomi HyperOS 2 is set to begin this month. Among the first devices are the Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro. These two will receive the update in the coming weeks. Joining them in this early release are the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Ultra, as well as the Xiaomi 13T Pro. However, the standard 13T will not receive the update just yet.
Other models are also scheduled to receive HyperOS 2 this November. The Redmi Note 13 series, along with the Poco X6, X6 Pro, F6 Pro, and M6 Pro, are in too. Additionally, Xiaomi’s Mix Flip will be among the first devices to adopt the new OS, giving users a taste of its latest features.
December Rollout
Xiaomi will expand the HyperOS 2 update to even more devices in December. The Xiaomi 13T, Poco F6, and M6 will be among the next to receive the update, alongside several older Xiaomi models. This includes phones from the Xiaomi 13, 12, and 11 series, as well as the 12T and 12T Pro.
Gizchina News of the week
December’s rollout also covers a range of Redmi and Poco devices. Both the Redmi 13 and 12 series, in 4G and 5G versions, and the entire Redmi Note 12 lineup are slated for updates. Older Poco models like the X5 Pro, F5 and F5 Pro, X4 GT, and F4 GT will also make the jump to HyperOS 2. Notably, even some recent devices like the Poco C75, launched with an earlier version of HyperOS, are on track for this update.
By the end of 2024, Xiaomi will have updated a wide range of devices to HyperOS 2, including some models from 2022. However, not every older model will receive this upgrade. Notably, the Poco X4 Pro and standard F4 are not on the list. For the most part, it’s Xiaomi’s flagship devices—like the Mi 11 and Mi 11 Ultra from late 2020 to early 2021—that are seeing the update from past generations.
Other Devices That Are Receiving HyperOS 2
Beyond smartphones, Xiaomi’s tablets and wearables are also receiving HyperOS 2. Starting in November, the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4 and Smart Band 9 Pro are slated for updates. By December, additional tablets like the Xiaomi Pad 6, Poco Pad, and various Redmi Pad models will also transition to HyperOS 2, broadening the reach of Xiaomi’s latest software experience across device types.
