Xiaomi 15 Pro Launch

The TechDroider YouTube channel recently compared the battery life of several top flagship smartphones. The test included the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL, Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, OnePlus 12, iPhone 16 Pro Max, and Xiaomi 15 Pro. The Xiaomi 15 Pro emerged as the clear winner, outperforming all its competitors.

Xiaomi 15 Pro Dominates Flagship Battery Life Test

The success of the Xiaomi 15 Pro can be attributed to two main factors: a large 6100 mAh battery and the energy-efficient Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. This combination gave the Xiaomi 15 Pro a significant edge in battery performance.

The test simulated common smartphone activities like gaming, streaming videos, and browsing the internet. The Google Pixel 9 Pro XL was the first to run out of power, lasting only 9 hours and 59 minutes. It also heated up to 42.4°C, showing signs of thermal strain.

Next was the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, which powered down after 10 hours and 23 minutes. This device reached a peak temperature of 50.4°C, the highest in the test, indicating potential overheating issues.

Also, the OnePlus 12, equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, came in third place. It lasted 10 hours and 46 minutes and recorded a peak temperature of 43.6°C. The iPhone 16 Pro Max performed better, securing second place with a battery life of 11 hours and 16 minutes. However, it also hit a high temperature of 50°C, similar to the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Xiaomi 15 Pro took the top spot with an impressive battery life of 12 hours and 23 minutes. Despite this long usage time, it maintained a moderate peak temperature of 43.8°C. This balanced performance is thanks to its large battery and efficient Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.

In summary, the Xiaomi 15 Pro has set a new standard for battery life among flagship smartphones in 2024. Its excellent battery capacity and advanced processor make it a top choice for users who need a device that lasts throughout the day. With this release, Xiaomi has raised the bar for what consumers can expect from a flagship smartphone.
