OPPO and OnePlus to Launch Compact Smartphones

The OPPO Find X8 Mini is set to launch in early 2024. It will likely debut alongside the Find X8 Ultra. The phone is designed for users who prefer smaller devices but still want high performance.

Rumors suggest the Find X8 Mini might use MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 chipset. This aligns with its larger siblings, the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro. With this chip, the Find X8 Mini aims to deliver strong performance and smooth operation.

OnePlus Compact Model: Small Yet Mighty

OnePlus is also working on a compact smartphone. This device is rumored to feature a 6.31-inch flat OLED display with 1.5K resolution. It will reportedly be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Despite its size, it will compete with high-end smartphones.

Some believe this compact phone will be part of the OnePlus Ace series. If true, it could come as the Ace 5 Pro. This model may launch alongside the Ace 5 in December 2024.

No Competition Between the Brands

BBK Electronics owns both OPPO and OnePlus. This has led to concerns about competition between their devices. However, Digital Chat Station has dismissed this. The two phones will use different designs and chipsets.

For example, the OnePlus compact model will likely use the Snapdragon 8 Elite. In contrast, the Find X8 Mini might feature a MediaTek chipset. This separation ensures each device appeals to different users.
