Huawei had an exciting day in China. The brand introduced several new devices today, including five phones and a new tablet. We saw the debut of the new Huawei Mate 70 series, the arrival of a new Mate foldable, and the launch of the MatePad Pro 13.2 (2024). The tablet features a 13.2-inch Flexible OLED display with a 2880×1920 resolution, 1,000 nits of brightness, and a 144Hz refresh rate. It comes in two versions: a standard glossy model and the Clear Soft Light Screen version, which uses nano-magnetic optical coating and nano-etching technology to minimize reflections and glare.
Huawei’s MatePad Pro 13.2 (2024) features a 13.2-inch Flexible OLED display with a 2880×1920 resolution. Furthermore, it has 1,000 nits of brightness and a 144Hz refresh rate. The tablet supports up to four apps simultaneously in multi-window mode. You can adjust the aspect ratio for a better fit. It is compatible with the Smart Magnetic Keyboard and the 3rd generation M-Pencil. These two gadgets will ease tasks such as document editing, drawing, annotation, and conference calls. The new tablet runs on HarmonyOS NEXT, based on HarmonyOS 4.3. Hence, it integrates the Xiaoyi smart assistant, powered by Huawei’s Pangu AI model. The AI enables natural conversations and assisted task management. Users can combine typed and handwritten notes, utilizing AI for correction and summarization.

The MatePad Pro 13.2 (2024) weighs 580 grams and is just 5.5mm thick. It features six speakers and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. For its camera setup, the tablet has a 50MP f/1.8 main camera paired with an 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide on the back and a 16MP f/2.2 fixed-focus camera on the front. The device is powered by a 10,100mAh battery that can charge from 0% to 80% in just 40 minutes.
