Redmi recently released official images of the upcoming K80 Pro, and now the focus shifts to the standard K80 model. The design of the K80 closely mirrors that of its Pro counterpart, featuring a left-aligned, circular camera array on the back, complemented by a horizontal LED flash strip positioned to its right. The device boasts a sleek, flat frame and a display with impressively narrow bezels, contributing to a modern and clean aesthetic.
Redmi K80 Specifications Emerge in the Wild
The K80 is expected to be both thinner and lighter compared to the K70, which has a thickness of 8.2mm and weighs 209g. This new iteration is designed to offer a balanced and comfortable grip, with its weight distribution finely tuned to achieve an almost perfect 50:50 top-to-bottom ratio. This design choice is said to enhance the overall in-hand feel, making the K80 more ergonomic and pleasant to hold for extended periods.
The Redmi K80 and K80 Pro will officially come on November 27, 2024. Both will offer top-tier dust and water protection with IP68 and IP69 ratings. The K80 will feature a versatile triple-camera setup. We expect a 50 MP main sensor, an 8 MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2 MP macro camera. For selfies and video calls, there will be a 20 MP front-facing camera.
While the leaks around the Redmi K80 have been quiet, the K80 Pro had some of its specs leaked. For example, it will be the first Redmi K-series smartphone with a 6,000 mAh battery. Furthermore, it will bring 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. We expect the Redmi K80 to come around these numbers. Perhaps, it will have a smaller 5,500 mAh battery with 80W wired charging and no wireless charging. The This is speculation, and we expect official specs to come soon enough.
The Redmi K-series will launch in China. However, we expect them to come under POCO F-series for an international release next year. Stay tuned for more details and teasers.
