Oppo has recently introduced the Reno 13 and Reno 13 Pro smartphones in China. The smartphones come with a sleek design and innovative software features. Currently exclusive to the Chinese market, these devices are anticipated to become available globally in early 2025. Reports suggest that the global launch, including in India, is expected around January 2025. Huawei is already taking some bold steps to achieve this.
The Reno 13 series boasts a premium design with a quad-curved display and IP69 dust and water resistance. The Pro model is notable for being the world’s first smartphone powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 8350 processor. As the global release approaches, more information on specifications, pricing, and availability is expected to come. Consumers worldwide are eagerly awaiting the opportunity to experience the latest innovations from Oppo’s Reno series.
The Oppo Reno 13 Pro has recently appeared on several international certification platforms, including India’s BIS and the UAE’s TDRA, under the model number CPH2697. This suggests that a global launch is imminent. Additionally, the same model number has been listed by Singapore’s IMDA and Indonesia’s SDPPI, indicating Oppo’s plans to expand the Reno 13 series beyond China. According to reports, the Oppo Reno 13 series, including the Reno 13 Pro, will debut in India as early as January 2025.
Oppo Reno 13 Pro Specifications
The Oppo Reno 13 Pro brings neat upgrades over the Reno 12 Pro. It will have a bigger 6.83-inch AMOLED screen with a sharp 1272 x 2800 resolution. The screen will also refresh quickly at 120Hz and has up to 1200 nits of brightness. It’s a big upgrade when it comes to the Reno 12 Pro with its 6.7-inch screen. For performance, the Reno 13 Pro is the first phone to use the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chip. That may be a point of controversy for consumers with the 12 Pro that has a Dimensity 9300+. The chipset is not an upgrade, it’s a downgrade when we talk about performance. However, it will still be decent and well-optimized for this device.
Gizchina News of the week
The Oppo Reno 13 Pro will come with a powerful camera setup. It will have a 50MP main camera, a 50MP secondary camera, and an 8MP ultrawide camera. This will also include 3.5x optical zoom. For selfies, it will have a 50MP front camera, making it one of the best for selfies in this category.
On the inside, the phone will feature a 5,800mAh battery, which is bigger than the 5,000mAh battery in the Reno 12 Pro. It will support 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, meaning less time waiting for the battery to charge and longer use between charges.
In terms of design, the Reno 13 Pro will have a sleek look with flat sides and rounded edges. It will come in Black, Purple, and Pink colors and could be water-resistant with an IP66+68+69 rating.
Possible Pricing
In China, the Reno 13 series starts at 2,699 yuan (₹31,429). The Reno 13 Pro costs CNY 3,399 (₹39,581). Although the price for India remains a mystery, tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore expects the Reno 13 to cost the same as the Reno 12. That means the 8GB + 256GB model starts at around ₹32,999.
We expect Oppo to share more details soon. However, the listing does not mean the phone will be in the next month. The brand can ultimately honor the early reports of a 2025 release.
