Apple’s groundbreaking Vision Pro will officially launch in Taiwan on December 17.  This device is currently available in some markets around the world earlier this year. However, the company is determined to release it to more markets. Pre-orders for the “space computer” in Taiwan start at 9 AM local time on December 5, and it is available through Apple’s website and stores. This marks another step in Apple’s global rollout of its most advanced wearable device to date.

The Vision Pro is offered in three storage sizes, catering to a range of needs:

  • 256GB: TWD119,900 ($3,695/€3,515)
  • 512GB: TWD126,900 ($3,910/€3,720)

Vision Pro Features and Experience

At the heart of Vision Pro is visionOS, a new operating system that allows users to blend digital and physical spaces. The device supports intuitive inputs such as eye tracking, hand gestures, and voice commands. For instance, users can look at an app to select it, use finger taps to interact, or rely on Siri for voice control.

One standout feature is Infinite Canvas, which removes the limitations of physical screens, letting apps float side by side at any scale. Vision Pro also offers dynamic virtual backdrops, such as views of Yosemite or Bora Bora, designed to help users focus or relax.

Vision Pro supports more than 2,500 apps created specifically for it and over 1.5 million iPhone and iPad apps that work seamlessly on the platform. Key apps in Taiwan, such as friDay, MyVideo, and momo Shopping, are already compatible. The Mac Virtual Display feature lets users connect their Mac wirelessly to access apps on a vast private screen, transforming productivity and creativity.

Designed for both work and play, Vision Pro includes support for tools like Slack, Zoom, and Webex to streamline teamwork. Paired with accessories such as Smart Keyboards and mice, it also enhances everyday tasks. Creative professionals can benefit from apps like Shapr3D and Lens, which take interactive design to new levels.

Taiwan joins other key markets, including the US, UK, China, and UAE, in experiencing the Vision Pro. With its immersive features and seamless integration into Apple’s ecosystem, the device promises to change how users connect, work, and explore. Starting December 17, Taiwan-based customers will have access to Apple’s most innovative product yet, pushing the boundaries of spatial computing.
