Realme is ready to deploy a new generation for its numbered series. The company will soon introduce a new smartphone called Realme 14x. The device will arrive on December 18, and the brand is using these last days ahead of the release to share details about the new smartphone. Yesterday, the brand confirmed the Realme 14’s battery size and charging technology. Today, it is here to confirm the chipset giving the midrange phone’s horsepower, the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC.
Realme 14x Chipset Confirmed
The MediaTek Dimensity 6300 boasts TSMC’s 6nm manufacturing process bringing good efficiency and performance for a low-end range. It is compatible with sub-6GHz 5G Networks and is very similar to the old Dimensity 6080. The CPU brings eight cores split into two clusters. The performance cluster has 2 x ARM Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.4 GHz, and the second cluster brings 6 x ARM Cortex-A55 cores clocked at up to 2.0 GHz. This core configuration resembles the modern 6nm Helio G-series, with the biggest difference being the 5G connectivity. It offers support for LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 Storage.
Unfortunately, Realme did not reveal the Realme 14x memory configuration. However, the rumors so far point to three options. It will start with 6GB RAM and 128 GB of Storage. There will be an intermediary option with 8GB and 128GB and a higher model with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB Storage. The smartphone will pack a 6.67-inch LCD Screen with just an HD+ resolution. We expect it to have a 90 Hz refresh rate at the very least.
The Realme 14x will arrive on December 18. It is confirmed with an IP69 rating, 6,000 mAh battery, 45W fast charging, and three color options. There will be Crystal Black, Golden Glow, and Jewel Red color options. The Realme 14x’s starting price is INR 15,000 ($175/€170).
We expect more details to be revealed soon. However, the Realme 14x can already be considered a decent option for the budget segment. The decent performance and the huge battery with fast charging will make it a decent smartphone for basic usage.
