The Vivo Y300 with 5G made its debut in India last month, and now, a device with the same name has surfaced in China. However, it shares very little with its international counterpart. Instead, it appears to have more similarities with the Y300 Pro, which was launched three months ago.
Vivo Y300 Specifications
The Chinese Vivo Y300 features a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate for smoother visuals. The screen includes a punch-hole cutout that houses an 8 MP f/2.05 selfie camera, which is fairly basic. On the back, the phone sports a 50 MP f/1.8 main camera alongside a 2 MP f/2.4 auxiliary sensor.
Under the hood, the Vivo Y300 is powered by the Dimensity 6300 chipset, built on a 6nm process. It features a CPU clocked at 2.4 GHz and offers configurations with up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage, ensuring solid performance and ample space for apps and media. The Dimensity 6300 is very similar to the Dimensity 6080 with some neat upgrades. It also resembles the Helio G-series with ARM Cortex-A76 cores and Cortex-A55 cores. It’s a budget chipset brought to the Dimensity lineup thanks to the 5G connectivity. Still, it might be a great option for less exigent users.
The Vivo Y300 is equipped with a 6,500 mAh battery that supports 44W fast charging, all packed into a remarkably slim 7.85 mm body. Out of the box, the phone runs OriginOS 5, which has become standard for Vivo devices in China. Interestingly, Vivo also wants to offer good audio performance. So the device was developed to make sure the speakers deliver louder and clearer sound. The Y300 comes with three separate speaker units, providing stereo audio no matter the phone’s orientation. Hence, it is an excellent choice for multimedia and gaming enthusiasts.
