OnePlus is set to launch its latest smartphones, the Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro, on December 26. The announcement came after the devices were listed on the Oppo Store in China. Louis Jie, President of OnePlus China, has shared exciting details about the upcoming phones.

OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro: Powerful Chipsets for Next-Level Performance

The OnePlus Ace 5 will feature the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The Pro model will step up with the Snapdragon 8 Elite, offering even faster performance. According to Jie, the Ace 5’s chipset will deliver power that feels like “Gen 3.5,” promising a major leap in smartphone performance.

Advanced Glacier Battery Technology

OnePlus is introducing its new Glacier Battery Technology in these phones. This design uses a thin Si/C battery that offers a higher capacity while keeping the device slim. Exact details are not yet available, but the Pro model will pack a 6,100 mAh battery. The standard Ace 5 may include a slightly larger capacity.

Premium Display and Camera Setup

Also, both phones will share similar hardware. They will likely feature a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display, known for sharp visuals and smooth refresh rates. The camera system to include:

  • A 50 MP main sensor for high-quality photos,
  • A 50 MP telephoto lens for zoom, and
  • A 2 MP macro lens for close-ups.

The design and dimensions of the two models are expected to be nearly identical.
