Oppo A5 Pro announced with Dimensity 7300 SoC

After some leaks, The Oppo A5 Pro is now official. The new mid-range phone is here with a 6.7-inch FullHD+ AMOLED display. It has a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and an impressive 1,200 nits peak brightness. Another interesting detail is that the screen comes with Gorilla Glass Victus 2, ensuring durability. We don’t see this level of screen protection on a device in this price range. Oppo aims to make a mix of mid-range performance with durability in this particular device. It will compete with the likes of the Honor 9c which has a great focus on durability.

Oppo A5 Pro: Durable Mid-range with Huge Battery and Fast-Charging

The Oppo A5 Pro features a centered punch-hole for a 16MP front camera. The scanner sits under the display for convenient biometric security. On the back, the device houses a dual-camera setup. It includes a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP monochrome lens.

The Oppo A5 Pro carries the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset. It has up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. In terms of software, the device has ColorOS 15 with Android 15. Unfortunately, Oppo has not confirmed the duration of software support.

The phone is built tough, featuring an IP66/68/69 rating, military-grade GJB150A-2009 certification, and 360-degree drop resistance. It also includes symmetrical low-frequency antennas at both ends for improved signal reliability. Perhaps, one of its major highlights is the large 6,000mAh battery. Big batteries are usual in this price range, but what impresses us is the 80W fast charging. The device also has 5G connectivity, stereo speakers, NFC, and a wet touch mode that allows screen use with wet hands or gloves.
