Redmi Turbo 4 With Dimensity 8400-Ultra Spotted on Benchmark


Last week, Xiaomi confirmed that the Redmi Turbo 4 will be the first smartphone to feature the latest MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra SoC. This upcoming phone has now been spotted in a Geekbench listing, identified by model number 24129RT7CC, giving us a closer look at its performance and capabilities.

The Dimensity 8400-Ultra chip shares many similarities with the Dimensity 8400. It is an Octa-Core processor that includes Arm Cortex-A725 cores for powerful performance. The configuration consists of 1 core running at 3.25 GHz, 3 cores at 3.0 GHz, and a 1.3 GHz Arm Mali-G720 MC6 GPU. This setup ensures efficient power usage while delivering high performance for tasks like gaming and multitasking. With these improvements, the chipset aims to deliver smooth and responsive performance, enhancing the overall user experience.

Benchmark results for the Redmi Turbo 4 show promising results. In the single-core test, it scores 1642 points, and in the multi-core test, it scores 6056 points. These scores are significantly higher than those of the Redmi K70E, which is powered by the Dimensity 8300-Ultra. The K70E scores 1,242 points in single-core and 4,194 points in multi-core tests, indicating a noticeable performance boost for the Redmi Turbo 4. This makes the Redmi Turbo 4 an appealing option for users who value speed and responsiveness.

According to the Geekbench listing, the Redmi Turbo 4 comes with 16GB of RAM and will run on Android 15 out of the box. It will feature HyperOS 2 for an optimized user experience. Additionally, the phone has already received 3C certification in China. As per the leaks, it will support 90W fast charging, ensuring quick power-ups.

The Redmi Turbo 4 is set to launch in China in early January 2025, just a few weeks away. It will also be released globally as the POCO X7 Pro. In addition to the phone, Xiaomi plans to unveil the Redmibook 16 2025 at the same event.

We are curious to see how the Dimensity 8400 will shake the mid-range industry. It will bring some challenges to the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 that reigned absolutely without proper competition.
