POCO X7 Launch Date Confirmed For January 9

The POCO X6 series was well-received by consumers, and a long time has passed since its release. For that reason, there are many fans eagerly waiting for news about the POCO X7 series. The rumors gained strength since Redmi started to tease its new Redmi Turbo 4. Now, Redmi has just announced that fans won’t have to wait much for the new POCO X7 series. The new POCO X7 and POCO X7 Pro will debut on January 9 at 5:30 PM IST. Hopefully, we will see both variants at the launch.

POCO X7 Coming With Dimensity 7400. Will the X7 Pro Tag Along?

As per the rumors, POCO will embrace MediaTek with the new lineup. The POCO X7 will come with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC. According to the leaked renders, it may be a rebadged Redmi Note 14 Pro. Meanwhile, the X7 Pro is expected to be a rebadged Redmi Turbo 4. This one will debut on January 2 with the MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra. It has been a while since the launch of the Redmi Note 14 Pro, so POCO naturally had time to make its version. When it comes to the Redmi Turbo 4, there will be just a few days before the scheduled POCO X7-series event. If the X7 Pro appears at the event, it will be remarkable. However, we won’t be surprised if the company takes a few more weeks to launch it.

We can still have hope for the POCO X7 Pro release. After all, leaked renders emerged a few weeks ago with the smartphone’s design. Also, we can see the device is identical to the Redmi Turbo 4. So perhaps, it may be ready for release.

Nowadays it’s natural to expect POCO smartphones to be versions of existing Redmi smartphones. In the recent past, there were only a few smartphones that were not based on Redmi phones. We can cite the original Pocophone F1 and the POCO X3. The POCO X6 series was identical to the Redmi Note 13 Pro. The X6 Pro was a rebadged Redmi K70E. This rebranding is understandable, Xiaomi uses the same resources and just follows the demand in different markets.
