The Redmi Turbo 4 has been cycling through the rumor mill in the past few days. Shortly after the launch of MediaTek’s Dimensity 8400 chipset, Redmi started to tease its new smartphone as the first with this chipset. It will come with the Dimensity 8400-Ultra which is Redmi’s fancy-named variant for this particular SoC. The phone appeared on the Geekbench website, and we all knew it wouldn’t take long to see the light of the day. Now, Xiaomi confirmed the device launch for January 2, which effectively makes the Redmi Turbo 4, Xiaomi’s first release of 2025.

Interestingly, the Turbo 4 is already available for early reservations from Xiaomi’s channels. It will go on open sale on the same day as the launch. According to the latest rumors, the Redmi Turbo 4 will launch globally as POCO X7 Pro.
Xiaomi revealed a promotional image for the smartphone, that shows professional and star table tennis player from China, Fan Zhendong. The player holds the smartphone which appears in its Lucky Cloud White color. We can see the smartphone will be on the dual-tone design that has been a trend recently. It has flat sides with a subtle curvature on the back and a red accent line along the back.
The Redmi Turbo 4 will come with a 50 MP main camera and a secondary 8 MP ultrawide snapper. We get a simple dual-camera setup. It comes with two useful modules instead of multiple cameras that will never be used.
As per the leaked specifications, the Redmi Turbo 4 will come with a 6.67-inch LTPS OLED Screen with Full HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It will bring MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra which has eight ARM Cortex-A725 cores for raw power. The device will come with 12 GB of RAM and HyperOS 2. There will be a huge 6,550 mAh battery with 90W charging completing the package.
