Poco has officially announced that it will launch the Poco X7 series of mid-range smartphones globally, including in India, on January 9. The company has shared teasers showcasing the rear designs of the Poco X7 and X7 Pro. Additionally, an entry-level Poco X7 Neo is part of the lineup. However, it’s uncertain if the X7 Neo will be unveiled alongside the X7 and X7 Pro during the event. This post is also a confirmation that the POCO X7 Pro will indeed tag along for the global release. It will make its global debut shortly after the launch of the Redmi Turbo 4 in China.
POCO X7 and X7 Pro Design Have Been Confirmed
The official images of the Poco X7 and Pro reveal their yellow-black dual-tone back designs with distinct patterns. Both models feature a 50-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS). The X7 appears to have a triple-camera setup, while the X7 Pro features a dual-camera configuration. The promo images confirm the design that leaked a few days ago.
Poco has yet to disclose detailed specifications for the X7 series. However, the most concrete rumors suggest the Poco X7 stands as a new Redmi Note 14 Pro version. The X7 Pro may resemble the Redmi Turbo 4, launching on January 2 in China. If true, the Poco X7 is likely powered by the Dimensity 7300-Ultra chipset, while the X7 Pro could feature the Dimensity 8400-Ultra. This marks a departure from the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 and Dimensity 8300-Ultra chipsets used in the Poco X6 and X6 Pro, respectively.
The POCO X7 and X7 Pro will come with 6.67-inch OLED Screens with Full HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The X7 Pro will bring a 50 MP main camera and a secondary 8 MP snapper. The vanilla has a 50 MP main camera and a 20 MP selfie shooter. Moving on, the X7 has IP68 dust and water resistance with a 5,510 mAh battery with 45W fast charging. When it comes to the Pro variant, the Redmi Turbo 4 will have a 6,550 mAh battery. We don’t know if the same battery will arrive with the global version. So we expect it to range between 6,000-6,550 mAh battery.
The Flipkart listing for the X7 and the Pro confirms their availability through the platform in India. There is still no info regarding the price.
