One UI 7 Release Timeline

In an official press release, Samsung Korea announced that the One UI 7 beta program has been its most successful so far. The first beta update closed twice as fast as the One UI 6 beta, reflecting strong user interest.

Samsung confirmed that all compatible Galaxy S series devices will receive the One UI 7 update by the end of the first quarter of 2025, with the rollout expected to complete by March 31, 2025. However, it’s notable that the timeline excludes the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 foldable devices.

While the timeline is specific to the Korean market, Samsung typically follows a similar global schedule. This means users worldwide can expect the update around the same time.

The exact release schedule for all Galaxy devices will likely be revealed during the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event.

What’s New in One UI 7

The One UI 7 beta updates have already given users a glimpse of the new features. One standout addition is the Now Bar, a pill-shaped dynamic bar on the lock screen. Similar to Apple’s Dynamic Island, it lets users control music, timers, and more directly from the lock screen.

Other updates include a redesigned Quick Settings panel, updated app icons, and a vertical app drawer—introduced for the first time in the One UI system. The camera app interface has also been refreshed to enhance usability.
