The gaming world is buzzing with new GTA 6 rumors. After the first trailer in December 2023, Rockstar Games has shared little information. However, a leaked release date and a possible $100 price tag have sparked fresh discussions.
Please note that these are just rumors. Rockstar Games has not confirmed any official details yet.
GTA 6 : Leaked Release Date Raises Questions
A Spanish online store, XUruguay, briefly listed GTA 6 with a release date of September 17, 2025. This date is significant. It marks 12 years since Grand Theft Auto V launched. It also matches Rockstar’s previously announced “fall 2025” window. Soon after, the listing was removed, leaving fans unsure if the date was real or just a placeholder.
Gaming site 80 Level reported that XUruguay claimed a connection with PlayStation. This added to the speculation. However, neither Rockstar Games nor Take-Two Interactive have confirmed any details. Some believe the leak is accurate. Others think it was just an estimate by the retailer.
Could GTA 6 Cost $100?
Another big topic is the possible price increase. Industry analyst Matthew Ball, in his report “State of Video Gaming in 2025,” suggested GTA 6 could cost $100. This would be a major jump in game pricing.
Ball argues that GTA’s popularity gives Take-Two Interactive a chance to set a new price standard. Many games already increased from $60 to $70 when next-gen consoles launched in 2020. But a jump to $100 would be a much bigger leap.
What This Means for Gamers
If GTA 6 releases at $100, it could change game pricing forever. Modern games are expensive to develop. Rising production costs may justify higher prices. However, many gamers may push back, questioning if a single game is worth that much.
For now, fans can only speculate. Rockstar has yet to confirm anything. Until then, players eagerly wait for what could be the biggest game of the decade.
