Samsung has rolled out a big update for the Good Lock app, its first in almost a year. The update comes just in time for One UI 7’s release and offers a much-improved design over the previous version.
Improved Design and User Experience
Good Lock is a powerful tool for customizing One UI, but it has been challenging to use. In the past, Samsung required users to use Good Lock to run apps on the Galaxy Z Flip 5’s cover display, and many found the app’s user interface (UI) and experience (UX) confusing.
Now, with One UI 7, Good Lock has received a much-needed redesign.
What’s New in Good Lock v3.0.10.1
The new version, v3.0.10.1, is rolling out via the Galaxy Store. It brings a completely revamped UI compared to the previous version (v2.2.04.95), which was released in April 2024.
- The new app has a dedicated “Plugins” tab showing all available modules. This section has categories at the top for easy sorting.
- The “You” tab displays your current modifications and includes a “favorites” section where you can quickly access installed modules.
- At the top of the app, there is a new settings button with options for Good Lock credits, contact form, and permissions.
- A new button also provides access to widgets and wallpapers available through Good Lock.
Faster and Easier to Use
This update makes the app faster and much easier to navigate. The layout is clearer, with everything organized better, making it easier for users to understand without needing extra context.
Rolling Out to Users
The update is now rolling out slowly through the Galaxy Store in line with One UI 7’s launch. However, it may not be available to everyone just yet. Soon, the app will also be available on the Play Store for all Galaxy users worldwide. If you can’t wait, the APK is available, but be cautious when installing it.
