How Does It Work?
The feature has an easy-to-use interface. You start your research on a right-side panel. The results appear on the left side of the screen. This setup allows you to work on queries while viewing the results side-by-side.
Research can take between 5 to 30 minutes, depending on the topic’s complexity. This time lets the AI dig deeper, analyze more data, and provide detailed answers compared to regular queries.
Key Features and Limitations
For now, Deep Research is only available to Pro users. There is a limit of 100 research sessions per month. OpenAI plans to expand this limit and improve the feature’s speed and cost in the future.
While the tool is powerful, OpenAI advises users to double-check the information. The AI may sometimes produce errors or include inaccurate details.
Also, tests show promising results. With scanning and Python tools enabled, Deep Research achieves an accuracy of 26.6%. This is a significant improvement over older models like GPT-4o and o3-mini.
