Samsung is enhancing the photography experience on its Galaxy S24 series by rolling out new camera filters originally introduced with the Galaxy S25 lineup. These filters, now available through the One UI 7 Beta 4 update, bring a fresh creative touch to photos and videos while also competing with Apple’s latest iPhone 16 camera features.
A Total of 10 New Camera Filters
With the latest One UI 7 Beta 4 update, Galaxy S24 users can now access ten distinct camera filters, including:
- Breeze
- Pulse
- Crystal
- Shiver
- Chill
- Glow
- Amber
- Sunbeam
- Shadow
- Shade
These filters offer various aesthetic enhancements, ranging from warm, vintage tones to modern, high-contrast looks, giving users more creative control over their shots.
Option to Download More Filters
Samsung has also updated the camera app’s Filters tab with a new download button, allowing users to expand their filter collection. By tapping this button, users are redirected to the Galaxy Store, where additional filters can be downloaded. This feature ensures that photographers and videographers always have new options to experiment with.
Filters Work in Photo and Video Modes
Unlike traditional filters that are limited to still images, Samsung has optimized its new filters for both Photo and Video modes. However, Portrait Mode currently does not support these filters. Given Samsung’s ongoing efforts to refine its camera software, it is expected that future updates may extend these filters to Portrait Mode as well.
Adjustable Filter Settings for More Control
In addition to new filters, Samsung has also introduced a filter adjustment UI to fine-tune the effects. Users can now adjust key settings such as:
- Strength – Modify the intensity of the filter.
- Color Temperature – Adjust warmth or coolness of the image.
- Contrast – Increase or decrease the difference between light and dark areas.
- Saturation – Control the vibrancy of colors.
- Film Grain – Add a cinematic or vintage look to photos and videos.
These adjustments are made using simple sliders, allowing users to customize filters based on their preferences. Moreover, Samsung has added a reset button, making it easy to undo changes and revert to the default settings.
Samsung Log: A Major Upgrade for Videographers
One UI 7 Beta 4 brings more than just AI-powered camera filters. It also adds Samsung Log to the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
This feature improves video editing by capturing more image data. Professional videographers can adjust exposure, color grading, and other settings with greater precision.
With Samsung Log, the Galaxy S24 Ultra becomes an even better tool for mobile filmmakers. It offers more control and flexibility, making high-quality video production easier.
Is This the Final Beta Before the Stable Release?
Samsung is slowly releasing the One UI 7 Beta 4 update to Galaxy S24 users worldwide. The next step depends on user feedback, stability, and performance. Samsung may release another Beta version or go straight to the Stable One UI 7.
Some users think there might be a Beta 6. However, Samsung moderators say there is no set number of Beta versions.
For now, users can try the new camera upgrades, AI filters, and video tools. They must wait for Samsung’s official announcement about the Stable One UI 7 release.
