Oppo Find N5 Will Not Be Released in Europe

Oppo unveiled the Oppo Find N5 in Singapore last week and signaled the global launch of the new foldable smartphone. However, despite the term “global”, it seems that the new foldable will be released in select markets. According to the reports, the Old Continent will be left out of the party despite its release in other markets besides Singapore. The Oppo Find N5 won’t be released in Europe.

Oppo Find N5 Won’t Launch in Europe and the United States

Oppo has just issued an official statement reiterating that it plans to skip the Oppo Find N5 in Europe. According to the company, the decision is based on “in-depth market research and strategic priorities.” The company plans to launch the Oppo Reno13 series anyway. So, consumers in the Old Continent can at least expect premium mid-range smartphones to be launched there soon.

“The Find N5 will not be launching in Europe. Instead, In Q1 2025, we will introduce the Reno13 series across Europe on February 24, offering consumers more choices with cutting-edge AI features and stylish, trend-forward designs. Stay tuned for updates.”

Oppo Find N5

Interestingly, the Oppo Find N5 won’t launch in the United States either. So, in the end, the smartphone will reach only China, Singapore ,and other markets across Asia. It seems like a strange decision for a brand that launched the smartphone “globally”. However, we believe it makes sense when we take OnePlus to the math. Historically, OnePlus smartphones have better performance than Oppo smartphones in Europe in the West. The brand is expected to launch OnePlus Open 2 this year and it will likely be based on the Oppo Find N5.

We believe that the OnePlus Open 2, should be released in the markets where the Find N5 isn’t landing. Instead of spending resources on two releases for a device that will be basically the same despite some brand-specific features like OxygenOS, Oppo will likely focus on what will bring better results.
