Samsung has launched the Galaxy A56, bringing several big upgrades. One of the biggest highlights is 45W wired fast charging. Previously, this feature was only available in flagship models. Other key improvements include the Exynos 1580 chipset, a larger 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display, and a sleeker design.

The Galaxy A56 is thinner and more refined than its predecessor. It measures just 7.4mm in thickness, making it easy to hold. The camera island has also been redesigned. Samsung has removed protruding lenses, creating a cleaner look.

The 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display now has smaller bezels on all sides. It delivers 1,900 nits peak brightness and 1,200 nits in high brightness mode (HBM). This ensures great visibility even under sunlight. The Full HD+ resolution remains, along with Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection for extra durability.

Faster and More Powerful Performance

Samsung has introduced the Exynos 1580 chipset, making the Galaxy A56 much faster. It features a 2.9 GHz CPU, an AMD-based GPU with 2x WGP, and an NPU with 14.7 TOPS. Performance is 37% better than the Galaxy A55.

Despite rumors of 12GB RAM, the device comes with 8GB RAM. Storage options include 128GB and 256GB. The 5,000mAh battery supports Samsung’s Super Fast Charge 2.0. A 45W charger can charge the phone to 65% in 30 minutes and fully charge it in 68 minutes.

AI-Enhanced Cameras

The camera hardware remains the same. The back features a 50MP f/1.8 primary lens, a 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide lens, and a 5MP f/2.4 macro lens. The front has a 12MP f/2.2 selfie camera.

However, AI-driven improvements make a difference. The Galaxy A56 now has better low-light photos, context-aware enhancements, and faster continuous shooting. Switching between the main and ultra-wide cameras is now twice as fast, taking just 430 milliseconds.

Software and Long-Term Support

Also, the Galaxy A56 launches with Android 15 and One UI 7.0. Samsung promises six years of security updates and six OS updates. The new Circle to Search feature lets users search for anything on their screen with a simple gesture.

Pricing and Colors

The Galaxy A56 comes in four colors:

  • Graphite Gray
  • Light Gray
  • Olive
  • Pink

The 128GB model costs €479/$499, while the 256GB version is €529/£499.

Final Thoughts

So, the Galaxy A56 is a solid mid-range phone. It offers fast charging, a bright display, powerful performance, and AI-powered cameras. Long-term software support makes it a great choice for users looking for a phone that lasts.
