Meizu has returned to the global smartphone market with three new devices unveiled at MWC 2025. The Note 22, mblu 22, and mblu 22 Pro all run on Android 15 with the Flyme skin. These budget-friendly smartphones offer different specifications to cater to various users.
Meizu Note 22: A budget phone with a 108MP camera
The Meizu Note 22 is an entry-level smartphone featuring a 6.78-inch 1080p LCD. It runs on the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset and is available in 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage configurations.

One of the key highlights of the Note 22 is its 108MP primary camera, accompanied by a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies. The details of the remaining rear cameras were not disclosed.
The device is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 40W fast charging support. Additional features include NFC, an IR blaster, and 4G connectivity. It will be available in Blue, Purple, and White Gold.
mblu 22: An affordable entry-level device
This device is similar to its predecessor, the mblu 21, which hit the public in November last year. They have similar displays and hardware, with small upgrades in some areas. The mblu 22 is a budget-friendly device with a 6.79-inch 720p LCD display.
It is powered by an unnamed Unisoc chipset and comes in two configurations: 3GB RAM + 64GB storage and 4GB RAM + 128GB storage. The mblu 21 comes with the Unisoc T606 SoC; considering their similarity, this device may use a newer version in the Tiger series, perhaps the Unisoc T620 SoC.

The camera setup includes a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. The device also features stereo speakers and a 5,000mAh battery. It runs on the Go Edition of Android 15, making it suitable for low-power hardware. The mblu 22 will be available in Black, Yellow, and Light Blue.
mblu 22 Pro: A step up with better cameras and a higher refresh rate
The mblu 22 Pro improves upon the regular mblu 22 by featuring a 50MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. It retains the 6.79-inch 720p LCD screen, but this time with a high refresh rate, likely 90Hz.
Under the hood, it runs on the MediaTek Helio G81 chipset and is available in 4GB RAM + 128GB storage, 6GB RAM + 256GB storage, and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage configurations.
Under the hood, this device comes with a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging, an improvement over the 10W charging on the standard mblu 22. It also includes NFC support. The mblu 22 Pro will hit the shelves in Dark Grey, Green, and Titanium White colour options.
Meizu’s return to the smartphone market
With the launch of these three smartphones, Meizu is making a comeback in the global market. The focus remains on entry-level and mid-range users, with a mix of affordable specs and Flyme OS enhancements.
