Snapdragon 8 Elite Tops AnTuTu’s February 2025 Rankings, OnePlus Ace 5 Pro Shines

In the February 2025 AnTuTu flagship performance chart, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite has reclaimed the top spot, surpassing MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400, which briefly led the charts in January. What’s truly surprising is that the device leading the pack isn’t a flagship. It’s the OnePlus Ace 5 Pro, designed for high performance. The phone scored an impressive 2,890,600 points, just ahead of the Vivo X200 Pro, which uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 and scored 2,884,682.

Qualcomm’s Strong Presence

While the margin between the top two devices is narrow, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite remains dominant. Six out of the top ten phones in February’s chart are powered by Qualcomm’s flagship chip. The RedMagic 10 Pro+ (Snapdragon 8 Elite) took third place with 2,879,356 points. The iQOO 13 (Snapdragon 8 Elite) came in fourth with 2,853,651 points. The iQOO Neo 10 Pro (Dimensity 9400) rounded out the top five with 2,836,633 points.

MediaTek’s Strong Showing

Despite Qualcomm’s lead, MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 is still a serious contender. This chipset powers four devices in the top 10. The Vivo X200 (2,816,213 points) and Vivo X200 Pro (2,799,774 points) secured sixth and seventh place, respectively. The Oppo Find X8 Pro Satellite Edition (Dimensity 9400) and Honor Magic 7 Pro (Snapdragon 8 Elite) took the ninth and tenth spots.

OnePlus Ace 5 Pro: A Surprising Performance Boost

An interesting point in the chart is the performance of the OnePlus Ace 5 Pro. Despite not being a flagship, the Ace 5 Pro outperformed the RedMagic 10 Pro+, which features the same Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. OnePlus put significant effort into optimizing performance at the chip level for the Ace 5 Pro, and the AnTuTu results seem to confirm its success. The OnePlus 13, also optimized for chip-level performance, placed sixth, showcasing the effectiveness of performance fine-tuning.

How AnTuTu Works

AnTuTu rankings are based on the average scores of all valid benchmark runs conducted in a given month. This ensures that the rankings reflect real-world performance, reducing the impact of factors such as temperature or battery charge.

Conclusion

The February 2025 AnTuTu performance chart clearly shows Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite on top, powering six out of the top ten devices. While MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 remains a strong competitor, the OnePlus Ace 5 Pro’s performance highlights the importance of optimization. As chipsets evolve, these optimizations are key to unlocking their full potential.
