Discover Samsung’s One UI 7.0 with Its Updated Display Assistant

Samsung updated the icon for the One UI 7.0 Display Assistant app. This change gives the app a fresh and modern look, matching the design of other Samsung apps. The update improves visual consistency and enhances the user experience. Galaxy users can download the latest version now through the Beta channel and try the new design.

Beta Status and Future ReleaseOne UI 7

Despite receiving three updates since its launch, Display Assistant remains in the Beta phase. However, Samsung may release a stable version alongside One UI 7, which is scheduled to launch in April 2025. While this update does not introduce any new features or interface changes, it follows the visual improvements seen in other Good Lock modules.

Key Features of One UI 7.0 Display Assistant

The Display Assistant app enhances screen behavior and customization options for Galaxy devices. Here are its main features:

  • App’s Screen Timeout – Users can set different screen timeout settings for individual apps. This is useful when certain apps require the screen to stay on for extended periods.
  • Keep Screen On – Allows users to prevent the screen from turning off, even without physical interaction.
  • Brightness Limit Profile – Maintains consistent brightness levels even when the device temperature increases. This helps prevent the screen from dimming due to heat.
  • Adaptive Brightness Options – Adjusts how quickly brightness levels change based on the user’s preferences. It also provides an option to reset the brightness usage pattern.
  • Standard Refresh Rate Apps – Lets users select apps that do not require high refresh rates, reducing battery consumption.
  • Screen Curtain – Allows the display to enter a low-power state, which is particularly useful for long video playback or recording sessions.

Samsung continues to refine One UI 7.0, and further enhancements may be introduced before its official release in April 2025.
