After months of Waiting, Samsung users can finally take a sigh of relief. The South Korean company has officially announced the release date for One UI 7. According to Samsung, the rollout of the software update will begin on April 7 2025. As usual, the rollout will not happen at once in all regions. More details from Samsung have revealed that while some regions will receive the update as early as April 7, others will receive the update later.
One UI 7 Release Date: What We Know So Far
Samsung first announced the release date on March 17 in South Korea. The company confirmed that this update does not require any form of beta update and that the rollout will start on April 7.
Later, in a global press release, Samsung mentioned that availability may vary by market. This means not all users will get the update at the same time.
Rollout Will Happen in Phases
Samsung later clarified that One UI 7 will not launch everywhere at once. Instead, it will roll out gradually in different regions. In some countries, the update will arrive later than in South Korea.
The Korean press release said that the update will roll out sequentially in:
- South Korea
- North America
- Europe
However, other press releases from around the world show that some countries will get One UI 7 later than expected.
Official One UI 7 Rollout Schedule
Samsung has confirmed the release schedule for a few countries:
- April 7 – South Korea
- April 10 – United States, Canada, Norway, Sweden
- April 14 – Malaysia, Singapore
- Early April – Belgium, Netherlands
In many other countries, Samsung has not yet confirmed an exact release date. Instead, press releases simply say “April 7” with a note that timing may vary.
Device Availability and Variations
Samsung Canada has confirmed that One UI 7 will roll out in Canada on April 10. Singapore will get the update on April 14.
The timing may also vary by device. However, Samsung’s US press release suggests that the company will release One UI 7 for the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6 at the same time.
What This Means for Users
If you own a Galaxy S24, Z Fold 6, or Z Flip 6, you should receive One UI 7 soon after the rollout starts in your region. However, other Samsung devices may have to wait longer.
Samsung users outside South Korea should keep an eye on Samsung’s announcement pages for release schedules in their regions. Gizchina is also following closely for further developments and will share as soon as Samsung makes any announcements.
