Qualcomm has officially introduced its latest high-end mobile chipset, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. Internally known as SM8735, the chip is built on TSMC’s N4P 4nm process but sticks with the older Kryo CPU instead of the Oryon core in the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite.

The chip integrates the Snapdragon X75 5G modem for connectivity, delivering peak download speeds of 4.2Gbps—but it only supports sub-6GHz 5G, not mmWave. Other connectivity features include:
- Wi-Fi 7
- Bluetooth 6.0
- USB 3.1 Gen 2
- UFS 4.0 storage
