Poco has already launched the F7 Pro and F7 Ultra, and you might have been wondering if a “vanilla” F7 model will be joining the trio. The answer is now a very clear yes , as the F7 has just been certified for sale in India by the BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards). As you would expect from the naming convention, this is a more basic phone than the Pro and Ultra. The F7 is probably a rebranded Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, launching in China either this month or in May.
Cameras, Build, and Bonus Features
The highly affordable device will feature a 6.83-inch OLED LTPS flat display with a “1.5K” resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will pack a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC, a 50MP main rear camera, an 8MP ultra-wide, and a massive 7,500mAh 90W battery with wired support. It should also feature IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
The Poco F7 might be the only member of the F7 series to launch in India, just like last year’s F6. For that market, it has the model number 25053PC47I. The model number suggests that it could launch next month, but of course, it could take a little longer.
Poco’s move to offer a more affordable but equally capable device in its F series is reminiscent of the successful strategy of other manufacturers offering a “value for money” flagship. If the rumors about the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro’s specifications are real, the Poco F7 has all the prerequisites to become the new “king” of the mid-range, offering premium features at a more attractive price. We eagerly await the official announcements to see if the expectations are solid.
Possible pricing?
Price-wise, the Poco F7 will probably follow in the F6’s footsteps. The previous model was sold for ₹29,999, so it would make sense for the new device to become available at a similar price. After all the Chinese sub-brand has been consistently aiming for that sweet spot between solid performance and aggressive pricing, and this new release seems to be following the same playbook.
