One UI 7 Now Rolling Out For 2024 Galaxy Devices in India – Is Your Device Eligible?

Samsung was building a solid track record when it came to software updates. The brand went ahead of multiple Android OEMs in the past years, and also expanded the list of devices getting more than four Android updates. However, with so many devices being actively supported, it seems that the brand has been facing some issues in keeping up the pace. The company took several months to make One UI 7 based on Android 15 ready for its old smartphones.

After a long wait, the update is finally materializing! Unfortunately, this happens one month ahead of the presumed launch of Android 16, and the cycle will start again. Anyway, it’s better late than never! Today, the update is reaching some 2024 Galaxy smartphones in India.. It starts with recent flagship models: Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra, along with Z Flip6 and Z Fold6. The company also shared a long roadmap that shows eligible devices and when the updates will arrive. Check the complete list below.

One UI 7 Samsung Update

One UI 7 Arrives Many Ups and Downs

As you can see above, the company shared an official timeline for the update in India. However, there is a catch – this is subject to change if issues occur during the rollout. The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE owners will get the update only in May, as will Galaxy S23 and S23 FE owners. The foldable smartphones, down to Z Flip3 and Z Fold 3, are all scheduled for a May release too. The update for eligible mid-rangers in the Galaxy A, M, and F series will begin in June to taste One UI 7. Some smartphone models will need to wait until July, which is a little underwhelming. By July, Samsung will probably be working on One UI 8 based on Android 16.

The update is not only covering India. There are reports of One UI 7 rollouts in Bangladesh, Nepal, and the Middle East as well. Other regions like South Korea and Europe saw the update start, pause, and resume in the last few weeks. Despite the company’s efforts, the multiple delays brought us a bad sentiment about future updates. We can only hope that the brand sort things out with One UI 8.0 for a much quicker rollout.
