If news of an Helio X20 powered Oukitel phone wasn’t enough then take a look at what Chinese phone maker Shallots are up to.

While most Chinese phone brands are looking at the international market as their place to grow and shine, there are still a few niche phone makers who stick to their guns and build phone primarily for the local market.

Shallots is on of the brands that is sticking to it’s home market (at least for now) and that might pay off for local customers with the launch of a new Helio X20 phone.

Gizchina News of the week

Shallots CEO Tan Wensheng posted a render of a metal bodied phone with rear fingerprint scanner earlier today. The render comes after a previous teaser that simply told a few very tasty hardware specs, namely a Mediatek Helio X20 processor, 4GB RAM and 128GB internal memory.

Chinese sites who have reported the news also state that a price of just 1499 Yuan is going to be asked for this Chinese power house. If this all turns out to be true remains to be seen, but like the Oukitel K6000 Premium we don’t expect to see this phone released until early 2016.

You nailed the point: “buyers”… This company, as well as oukitel, elephone and all of the others will have this when the chip’s cost will be so low that mediatek will be a charity foundation, more than a seller…
By looking at the x10 you can already tell what the x20’s story will be like! 😀

Yeah ikind of like the hyped 2 circles configuration the Downey and some many others offer with a nice line and the double/single flash giving the touch of grace somewhere around them. Still at that price point (IF IT EVER COMES REAL DEAL) I will not complain and say: “TAKE MY MONEY!!! TAKE MY @#$%& MONEY NOWWW!!!”
