Has Elephone really made a slim bezel phone with Helio P10 chipset? Well real photos of their new Elephone P9000 Lite say yes.
Before you all say “See the P9000 isn’t a bezel-less design” remember that this is the Elephone P9000 Lite, and has always been described as a ‘narrow bezel’ phone, while the top of the range P9000 (which hasn’t been seen in the flesh yet) is the bezel less phone.
Elephone P9000 Lite
These photos show the Elephone P9000 Lite sat with the ZUK Z1 smartphone to compare the thickness of the screen edge. Its not surprising that Elephone chose the Z1 as a comparison phone as the Z1 isn’t known for its slim bezels. Still the edges of the phone P9000 Lite do look narrower than other Elephone phones, and there are not black borders around the display either.
Gizchina News of the week
From another view we can see the USB Type C plug between dual speakers in the base of the phones slim metal body.
A final image shows the the processor details of the P9000 Lite which state that the phone is running a MT6755B chipset, a variant of the Helio P10 processor. The ‘B’ at the end of the model number could mean that this is a slightly lower spec version of the P10 perhaps running a different GPU or lower processor speed.
So that’s the Elephone P9000 in the flesh, what do you make of the next generation Elephone phone? Are you planning to buy the phone? Let us know in the comments below.
Guys, what is the smartphone on the right?
Meizu MX5
The home button looks like a mback, so it should be a meizu… But cuts in the metal frame are confusing me, i don’t remember of any meizu having those…
It’s the Meizu MX5, I have one right in front of me 😉
Oh thanks! You know, relying on pics only is hard to tell every detail about a phone’s design xD
Thanks!
wow … im vouching for this , actually !
please elephone , DONT screw this up !
this really is looking good to be a great mid-ranger !
Elephone definitely up their game recently. Seems like they finally got what they’ve been doing wrong all the time. The Elephone M2 which I got a few days back is surprisingly good and the build quality is top-notch. If they continue on that level and get even better on the software side of things I see some Ele-love going on.
Yeah, m2’s reviews surprised me as well… The butterfly effect that xiaomi started with note 2 seems to be hitting smaller brands as well!
Christopher you never answer your questions nowadays like you are turnings into Elephone. I was wondering am I still safe getting the Teclast P98 Air A80T or is there something better out there since your review?
yeah , i mentioned the same thing earlier. whoever is making and managing their phone software … coders , modders , software engineers … they need to do better for the sake of the overall brand. if they don’t up their game , its the same old story all over again !
hardware and price wise , i see elephone succeeding in 2nd and 3rd world countries if they can fight off the disparity in currency conversions. while Developed nations already have a knack for this brand , but for their horrible after sales 😀

yeah … surprisingly good !
altho reading and deciphering that translation was a challenge on it own :p !
Even if it is a cut down chip from the P10, would still offer plenty of perfrormance(left vacant by the early retirement of the 6752!) and will blow 6753 away in the graphics department as I expect around 50-100% better GPU score in all tests.
I`m really looking forward to a mid-ranger that can score over 15000 3D in Antutu at FHD resolution, to finally dethrone Snapdragon 801 from that sweet spot.
This definitely does look great in the flesh and hardware specs. I hope they don’t mess thing up in the software side.
Reckon elephone have gone for a bright orange border around the screen…. (to replace previous black ones). If you see this with a black wallpaper it will look awful ?
Hehhehheh 🙂
Two home buttons?
Come on! At first every rumor on p9000 was it will carry deca core processor…now then please dont turn off the heat!!!
The P9000 is scheduled for a April-May 2016 release so Vowney is still the phone to be had if you’re seeking good value with high specs. As people will know Elelphone usually miss dates, so the P9000 series could be months later.
