If you had already seen Chinese phone prices take a drop, then be prepared the pricing and specifications of the new Actwell D3 smartphone, it is unbelievable.

We were contacted earlier today by a factory who is offering the Actwell D3 Android smartphone at just $99 per unit. “So what?” you might think, there are of course tons of phones at $99 to choose from on the market right now, but none are quite like this.

Gizchina News of the week

While the Actwell D3 might look a little uninspired in the design stakes, the hardware really cannot be faulted (at this price) and includes a 5-inch 1280 x 720 display, 5 mega-pixel front camera and 13 mega-pixel rear. However, the real highlights are the 4200mAh battery, 3GB RAM, and 32GB internal memory!

Actwell D3 Specs

  • Android 5.1
  • 5-inch HD display
  • Quad-core MT6735
  • 5 mega-pixel front 13 mega-pixel rear cameras
  • 4200mAh
  • 3GB RAM + 32GB memory

The phone will be available in Blue, Whilte, Yellow, Black, Pink and a Gold option is coming soon. Watch out for this phone as it is sure to hit reseller sites soon after Christmas.

I doubt that 99$ is the real retail price. It is probably some weird offer price again…. yet on the slight chance it were, then it would be a super interesting phone. Yet I see the usual disadvantages (which can be compensated by that price) like no real dual sim (only dual sim or single with TF), no N-LED (let alone multicolor), no back lit buttons….

It should be with Dual SIM dual standby.

Light bleed wouldn’t look like that, light bleed is more spotty and inconsistent.

Take a look at the first image. Top of the screen. Than watch the second image. Top of the screen.
Isn’t something different? In the second image, there’s a white, irregular bar on the top.
You know what it seems to me? The phones aren’t actually working. That’s just the empty shell, with a printed paper to mimic the screen. In the first image it was placed perfectly, in the second it wasn’t, thus the white bar on the top…

Watch out from something like that… At an higher price there’s the cubot x17 with similar or better specs (battery excluded, assuming this unkown company’s datas are real) there’s really worth the extra money…

It looks like somebody cut a piece of paper with scissors and did a horrible job at it. Light bleed doesn’t look like that. I’m with you even looking at the actual image on the screen it looks more like a computer printout (look at how bad the colors are) than a display.

And if you look in the top image in the top right corner you can see the same thing, you have to look really closely.
