One of the many certifications that Chinese phones need to go on sale in China is a TENAA approval and quality certification, the second is what we are concerned with today as the mystery OnePlus E1000 has just been approved.
With an E number this new phone might be a new version of the OnePlus X, however there are also reports that this new phone might be the rumoured OnePlus 2 Mini. To support this the quality certification inmates the same charger that the OnePlus 2 uses, pointing at the possibility of a smaller, 4GB RAM, Snapdragon 810 phone.
OnePlus E1000, OnePlus Mini 2?
Gizchina News of the week
Earlier in the month benchmarks for a mystery phone from OnePlus showed a 4.6-inch display (likely a 5-inch), 4GB RAM, 64GB memory and Snapdragon 810. Those specs are believed to be off a smaller version of the flagship OnePlus 2 that could be released earlier 2016.
If this news is accurate then it would mean that Meizu Pro 5 Mini phone (also rumoured) will have fierce competition in early 2016, and this might also point at the direction phone makers will move in next year i.e. smaller flagships with real high-end hardware.
i actually think this would be a good move by OnePlus, though many purchasers of the OPT and OPX would probably disagree. So far, I’ve passed on invites from the OPO, OPT, and the OPX. But this one does have my interest, depending on price.
bummer about that NFC though
A portable heater just in time for winter, now in a much more hand friendly 5 inch size! Given the more compact device it will even get warmer faster to make sure your hands stay toasty warm all winter long!!
lol 4.6 inch is classic fail for GFXbenchmark, how many times does one need to see it before understanding that it’s the benchmark reading the size wrong?
The chinese phone market is all about trends. But so many people were complaining about not having the option of a small size phone with high end specs. Well i guess there cries have been heard.
