ZUK are working on either a Z1 Pro or a Z2, which is no secret. The brand however, seems to have a vested interest in its first ever phone — the ZUK Z1.
That, or they’re clever enough to dish out new variants to clear stock.
Today’s news bit is that ZUK has outed another cosmetic variant of its Z1, this time with a sandalwood-themes rear. If you remember, the company made an oak-themed one prior to this.
Gizchina News of the week
In its home country of China, the sandalwood-rear ZUK Z1 goes for 1599 Yuan ($246). The guts of the phone remain the same save for one but; there’s the same Snapdragon 801 processor, 5.5-inch 1920 x 1080p display, 13 mega-pixel rear camera, 8 mega-pixel front facing camera, and 4100mAh battery. What seems to have changed though, is the RAM capacity which goes up to 4GB.
ZUK are offering some freebies along with the phone for the first 100 buyers. The phone will be available via the company website in China.
offtopic – Just spotted an unknown LeEco , the x520 with SD652 and 3GB of RAM http://browser.primatelabs.com/geekbench3/5640567
So they’ll have 3 more new models, x520, X620 (Helio x20) and x820(SD820)next to the Max Pro(x910)
Sorry, the above LeEco question refers to the above comment.
I have read some complaints about the software in LeEco (or LeTV) phones. Is there any legitimacy to this or are they just some random malcontents?
lets hope they are just clearing stock for a very soon release of the Zuk 2 or the Pro. I’d love to see what they come out with next.
If you are interested in the SD801, the OPPO Find 7a is now on sale for a damn low price of $127

Man! That’s a good deal!
I like it. The Zuk always had a bit of a boring design.
so we are expecting a new phone announcement this month, right?
They are really scraping the barrel here
