Meizu could be set to launch as many as 7 phones this year according to a leaked roadmap containing naming, pricing and partial specs.
It is obvious that Meizu are already working on a Meizu M3, MX6 and M6 Pro, obvious because the leaks have already started, but what other phones do the Zhuhai based phone maker have in store for fans in 2016? Well according to a leaked roadmap Meizu could well have 7 devices lined up for 2016.
Accompanying the Meizu M3 will be the Meizu M3 Note, Meizu Metal 2, Meizu MX6 Mini, Meizu MX6, Meizu Pro 6 Mini and Meizu Pro 6. It’s not known how up to date the roadmap is and if it takes in to account the earthquake in Taiwan which Meizu bosses said put a stop to the Pro 6 Mini.
The roadmap says that pricing will start from as little as 599 Yuan for the Meizu M3 with a 5-inch display 2GB RAM and 2800mAh battery plus 16GB memory (799 Yuan for the 32GB model). The Meizu M3 Note will get a Mediatek Helio P10 chipset, 3200mAh battery and starts at 799 Yuan for 16GB memory (999 Yuan for the 32GB model).
Gizchina News of the week
For lovers of metal phones the Meizu Metal 2 will come in 3 variants from 16GB to 64GB. Each Metal 2 has 3GB RAM and Meizu mTouch 3.0 fingerprint scanner with a 5.5-inch display like the M3 Note.
At 4.7-inch the Meizu MX6 Mini is the same screen size as the Pro 6 Mini with 4GB RAM, 1080p display and pricing from 1499 Yuan to 1999 Yuan. The regular Meizu MX6 has the same amount of RAM but a larger 5.5-inch display. The Meizu Metal 2, MX6 and MX6 Mini all have a Helio X20 chipset too.
Topping out the Meizu range are the Pro 6 phones. The Pro 6 mini with a 4.7-inch 1080 display, Helio X25 chipset while the Pro 6 has a 5.7-inch 2K display, Exynos 8890 chipset, 4-6GB RAM. Both Pro 6 phones will have HIFI audio and NFC too.
So out of those 7 possible Meizu phones which model would suit you best?
hey andi, where you in a hurry when writing this article? i have never seen so many typos in just one article by you! ;D this site really could use an editor. 🙂
‘were you in a hurry’ looks like you typed your way out of that job 😉
I’m confused, why does your name says “andi” but your profile pic is the one from that other blogger with a serbian-ish name and that chicken-rapist look?
well… not that i have the time anyway! 😉 and i don’t need to be spelling properly, as i am just a random internet commentator and you are a “journalist”. 😛 don’t take me too seriously, didn’t mean to effend you. btw, we never saw that umi emax review, didn’t we?
Well played!
Any exact information on mini version dates ??? also interesting about dual sim and cam specs
If none of these devices support band B20, then none.
tad bit disappointing. not believing a bit until a see official specs !
MX6 Mini and Pro 6 Mini – they got my full attention here! I’ll keep my eyes on them now and hope it isn’t gonna be just way cheaper and crappier versions of their bigger bros.
I take leaked road maps with a huge grain of salt. This is the third one that supposedly came from Meizu, the last one was already proven false by Meizu stating there would be no Exnyos in Pro 6. You never know what Meizu will do but I don’t see a lot of the above phones actually happening, especially the mini versions.
Hmmmm. More gadget spam incoming.
I don’t know if this is true, but I can’t wait to get AnTuTu (both v5 and v6) running on the Pro 6. That Exynos 8890 coupled with the 6GB ram will be beastly.
AnTuTu v5: 90,000+ & AnTuTu v6: 135,000+ and I’ll buy this phone irrespective of cost (as long as it also has finger print unlock, OIS, 20MP+ primary cam, 4k slow motion, 1080p ultra slow motion, IR blaster, NFC, SD card, dedicated dual sim slots, worldwide 4G support on both sims, Gorilla Glass 4+)
What if the Antutu scores are 87,000 (V5) and 130,000 (V6)? Will those missing meaningless numbers really keep you from buying a phone? I am sure you can still brag about it on your Antutu forums.
You put even 10k LESS on each and I still would buy it for a reasonable price.
More than likely fake but Meizu first needs to dump Pentile, the home button and include a microSD slot.Once they do that, they can hope to have a future.
Considering they had tremendous growth in 2015 they don’t need realjjj’s advice. The home button is baked into Flyme and works exceptionally well.
Definitely fake, meizu don’t produce mini phones or at least not so many.
a 3GB ram/32GB 5.5″ FHD helio X20 for <$200?? a 4GB/64GB SuperAMOLED FHD helio X20 for ~$300 ? wow.. come to america already Meizu
