Largest Xiaomi phone to date is starting to take a real shape and with factory leaked pic we can see the upcoming Xiaomi Max front panel for the first time.
It’s quite clear that the rumors have been absolutely right and the Xiaomi Max will indeed have the monstrous 6.4-inch screen. With such dimensions it’s expected to get 2K resolution for the display and although no official confirmation for it yet, its more than likely.

Rest of the alleged leaks are along the likes of Snapdragon 820, full metal body and fingerprint scanner. From the picture it looks like that the fingerprint scanner won’t be in the front, but in the back just like with the latest Xiaomi Redmi series. Or will Xiaomi surprise everybody and employ the Qualcomm ultrasonic fingerprint technology built into the front pannel ?
Xiaomi Max is expected to be launched somewhere in May and we can’t wait to see the overgrown phone for real. What do you think ? Isn’t the 6.4-inch screen way too big for normal use ?
At last, a Xiaomi phone that might actually be worth buying! Been waiting a long time for them to make an interesting phone and this might just be it.

Metal. Awesome phone with amazing audio, if it had a bigger screen and less temperamental fingerprint scanner it would be perfect! Even works really well with my VR headset which my lenovo refused to do.

The fingerprint scanner is the same on the MX5, some days it’s flawless, other days it’s rage inducing.

I’ve been looking at this to have a play around with. Looks quite promising but no proper reviews just yet. Wish this had the X20/25 in it as it would be perfect.
This is the size phone I like. If it has a big battery, SD card and other good specs and price, I may buy.

LOL. maybe they could draw inspiration from the garment industry – S for <4", M for 4"-4.7", L for 5"-5.2", XL for 5.5"-5.7", XXL for 6" and then go on adding Xs for bigger screens. 😀
Size is nice, but not for my jeans. 5.2″ is max I can fit in without discomfort.

Nice! I wish it didn’t have those stupid capacitive buttons though, especially if they don’t have a backlight. LMT launcher is the way to go. No need for buttons or a navbar.
I don’t care if the screen has those black borders… the screen size is what matters most to me. I read A LOT and have been looking for a phone that will replace my 7″ Kobo Arc tablet that I use for reading. And it looks like this will be it. Was leaning towards the LeMax… but that had the god awful ROM…. I mean you can install a ported version of MIUI on it but with no videos of that in action I have been hesitant. The same capacitive buttons that I love as on my current Mi4, and with MIUI I’ll be able to have the exact same theme that I have customized to my liking… with all my pictures and apps easily reinstalled thanks to the Mi Cloud. As soon as this releases… this will be an instant buy for me.
They just better put in a proper battery in this thing…
This, letv’s or Huawei’s max will be my next phone in the near future or any other upcoming good phone with crazy specs and max, plus or xxl screen.
