Doogee is one of the mobile phone producers who are always first and foremost focusing on the “bang for the buck” products and have quite a track record already in that. Their products are cheap and while probably won’t blow you away with their specs the price/performace ratio is high. Of course it can’t be applied to every Doogee product, but majority qualifies.
Doogee Y300 is without the question a member of the “bang for the buck” product group targetting the not-so-demanding audience and offering reasonable specs for the current 130-140$ price. Again nothing groundbreaking, but 5-inch display with HD resolution and 2.5D arc, quad-core MT6735, 2 GB RAM and 32 GB of storage, 8 Mpix back cam interpolated to 13 Mpix, 5 Mpix back cam interpolated to 8 Mpix, 2200 mAh battery, dual-SIM and Android 6.0 are okayish baseline stats.
Now the Y300 gets even one small update bringing the “Screen Record” and “Floating Video” functions. Gimmick, but why not.

I do like that Doogee has focused less on the Elephone Style and more on improving their phones. Elephone could learn a lot from them that sometimes the quiet path is the best path.
But that ugly black border everyone continues to use. I would much rather go back to bezels than this crap (and that’s directed at all these companies).
hmmm … kudos to them for trying but they need to be more convincing and bold in their course of action. right now , they look lethargic !
Doogee is in no way better than elephone. Theyre both crap
I used to be Doogees biggest critic, but i see them at least learning from past mistakes. Elephone keeps making the same mistakes over and over.
good Lord ! more marketing Gimmicks !
right now … ONLY F7 PRO and T3 Titans interest me … everything else is just a sham !
The one thing I love about Doogee is the reliability of their phones: miles ahead of Elephone for that matter
I hope the Vernee Thor turns out to be a good phone on its price range. Other brands should be using MT6753 on 100 ~ 140, then the Helio P10 or X20 in upper models.
MT6735 is not bad, but at this price I think I can even find the Redmi Note 2.
This phone looks nice! OK, it could have a better CPU than the 6735, but still I like it. Finally, a Doogee where you can see the buttons in the night… I don’t like On Screen Buttons so much, but they are better than the stupid buttons with No backlight…
