Time certainly flies, feels like yesterday we had the OnePlus 2 as the hottest stuff on the block and we are already dealing with the next generation leaks with an imminent launch date already lurking around the corner. And with some new leaks we have a confirmation of a beefier version of the OnePlus 3 in the making too.
We have already seen leaked Antutu test pic some time ago which put the OnePlus 3 in the fray with FHD display resolution, Snapdragon 820 processor and 4 GB RAM +32 GB storage combo. But todays Geekbench leak is hinting at another version with 6 GB RAM (most probably paired with 64 GB of storage space) and the scores are looking pretty respectable indeed. So the power creep of this year is official, because a flasghip without 6 GB RAM can’t be called a flagship 🙂
Gizchina News of the week
According to Chinese rumors we should get the OnePlus 3 officially launched around May 18th already with the phone hitting the stores for real somewhere around start of June. The expected pricing is in line of thinking of 2299 yuan (354$) for 4 GB + 64 GB version and 2499 yuan (384$) for the 6 GB + 64 GB version. Looks tempting, thats for sure.
OK great news ! Now I hope there is some nicely optimized camera sensor in it ^^ Or I’ll wait for Oppo Find 9 huhu
When is the Find 9 coming ?
If only i knew ^^ I’m waiting for it since mid 2015 (when i got bored of my Find 7)
If there is a Find 9 it will be very similar to this. Only big difference will be the software.
Yep, thats why i’m writting about optimization : there was a world between OP1 IMX214 and F7 IMX214. Even nowadays, i haven’t seen any phone getting better pictures then F7’s (i don’t talk about slightly better pictures, but something worth buying a new phone) while OP1’s pictures are “medium” at best.
BTW maybe this time there will be some hardware differences, since the last technological advances from Oppo displayed at MWC (charging and img stabilization) certainly won’t be implemented in OP3.
OPPO will most likely have a 2 or 4K display and their VOOC charging.
As for the camera the Vivo Xshot had the best camera using the IMX 214.
anyone knows the battery on thiss?? i wish things like antutu detected things like this, as is expected.. battery seems to be the least important thing in a smartphone
anyone knows the battery on thiss?? i wish things like antutu detected things like this, as is expected.. battery seems to be the least important thing in a smartphone, already more and more 6gbram phones are coming out in waht seems at n earlier time things aent looking good for oukitel k6000 premium and its october release but tthere is still no big battery phhone like it at least hope its relatively cheap and well executed or else…
Next two year, you can use your phone as a power back to your home 😉
spoken like a true king
As far I am remember OnePlus 2 has never been a hottest stuff, but more a big disappointment excepted for theirs fans of course. But it seems that they had learnt their lesson.
i know for many it was a pain to try and even get one and many just didnt bother with them
was OP2 a disappointment or was SD810 a disappointment and OP should have avoided it ?
BTW i think every SD810 phone is hot stuff… i mean very hot indeed… nearly too hot to hold 😀
(ok it was an easy one, I’m going out)
If they can improve the design I will be very interested in this one. The previous OP models were too big and bulky for me.
And no more invite system. I and millions others are not going to wait months and jump through hoops to buy your phone. Too many alternatives to put up with that circus.
Every 1+ phone upgrade launches with an upgraded more frustrating version of their invite system. But we have hope! 🙂
Yup the only way I would ever consider them is if they get rid of that. I refuse to jump through hoops to buy a phone, no phone is worth that.
For me it’s down to this one and Zuk Z2.
Let’s see who got the best camera and software.
I’m waiting for the Nubia X8 Elite – 6GB Ram with SD 823 and 256GB fast storage, and the screen is UHD. There will not be a better spec’d flagship for at least this year.
And hope they get their software right as well.
Yes, but it will go for $500+
I set a limit of $350-$400 since I’m replacing a phone in less than one year
ZUK comes with CM doesn’t it?
CyanogenOS and not CyanogenMod. (If I’m not mistaken)
whats the difference between the os and mod
Honestly? I don’t know.
I found this article that explains it, but I’m so not into this ROM that I don’t want even read it. LOL
oh they journey continues as i look for someone that will vomit knowledege into my brain, funny thing is i dont want to read it either XD
Lol, i know the feeling.
I don’t know if I’m particularly lazy today or because I’m not really into Cyanogen.
Many people praise this ROM like it’s best one out there.
I had the OP1 and I found so many bugs that have never been fixed.
Also the look of the ROM doesn’t appeal me.
I’m more into MIUI honestly.
not fan of LeMax 2?
I’m considering it too, especially if it’s going to include the US LTE bands like some rumors have been saying.
The reason I haven’t mentioned it in my list is because of the audio jack.
That was kinda silly.
I’m in the market to replace my current phone, really can’t make up my mind at the moment $400 budget, anyone recommend anything as I change my mind daily.
Are you in a rush? If not I would wait another month because other phones will come out/launch
Not in a huge rush but can’t wait for too long.
Any recommendations on upcoming releases.
Thanks
I will appreciate it if you can send me your old phone as mine is broken and I cant purchase a new one at the moment.
Thanks in advance.
is it possible that this phone will be able tu use Band 20 frequencies? Can anyone confirm or guess?
It will probably come in two or more versions, and one of them will have band 20 for sure.
