Black JiaYu G3 Spy Photos JiaYu Asks Fans to Decide on colour!

JiaYu don’t seem to be any nearer launching the Jaiyu G3 quad-core Android phone, as the Chinese phone maker seems undecided over the exterior design and are asking fans to vote for which they prefer!

While earlier this morning I believed the quad-core dual-core JiaYu G3 could launch within the next month or so, the Chinese brand just managed to prove me wrong by seeming to be still undecided over the external appearance of the new phone.

Up until now most of the spy photos and leaked images of the Jiayu G3 have shown an alloy bodied phone with flat back and large 4.5 inch IPS Gorilla Glass display, however just this morning JiaYu have posted photos of an all black model with a curved back.

Gizchina News of the week

It also seems that this black model is made of a black plastic material rather than the stylish brushed alloy which might be an attempt to drop the retail price of the G3 to below the expected $250 mark.

According to this report the colour of the next generation JiaYu is ‘in your hands’ and fans of the phone have been asked to vote on which colour and design they prefer. This is the second time that JiaYu have proven they really want to make a phone their customers want as they have also asked fans to design and suggest features for the G3’s replacement the Jiayu G4!

Which do you guys prefer? The black plastic body or the brushed alloy option?

    Definitly the metal one

    • August 1, 2012

I prefer the metal one too

The alloy one! But I’m loosing my expectation due to postponed release date. Now it would be phone worth the money, but after let say two or three months there could be more of that powerful phones of about the same price…

The thing is they all take so long to release their new phones. Even when as soon as the Jiayu G3 is available the G4 will be ‘leaked’ but it won’t be available for 6 months after then.

Hi but are you sure its Quad Core? as i have seen on 3 sites they all stated its only Dual Core MTK6577 as seen here:
    http://www.fastcardtech.com/goods-7418-Jiayu-G3-MTK-6577-Dual-Dore-Dual-Simcard-Dual-Standby-1G-RAM-45-IPS-Screen-8MP-Camera.html
    http://www.chinastore-online.com/jiayu-g3-3g-android-4-0-phone-mt6577-1-0ghz-dual-core-dual-sim-4-5-inch-ips-screen.html

Also check out the price as they are ALL under 250USD as you stated time after time 😉

Btw, i also much prefer the Alloy Metalic look rather than the plain boring black 😛

    Cheers

The features are unbelievable to my eyes. Tegra 2 or 3? I’m still stunned for a China Phone

    • August 1, 2012

Sorry Geodex a typo it’s a dual-core still, perhaps the G4 will be a quad.

    Jiayu G3 – Dual-core phone based on MTK6577 (1.0Ghz x2).

    • August 1, 2012

All hope is not lost. I think it is not they asked the favorite color because they haven’t decided on one. But they already made 2 of them (maybe, I just tried to enter the voting forum, and use google translate but it is not helping much).

Here is the voting forum: http://bbs.ejiayu.com/thread-120573-1-1.html
and here is some leaked ss and concept (might be just 3d rendered):
    – the “oreo” silver black: http://file.ejiayu.com/attachment/forum/201208/01/011202knr1kflrn0r583fk.jpg
    – the full black: http://file.ejiayu.com/attachment/forum/201207/20/174150ya69qy6595ssa667.png
    – I don’t think this is a 3D rendered image, probably a dummy item or the real end product: http://www.ejiayu.com/userfiles/QQ%E6%88%AA%E5%9B%BE20120731160024.png

      Cheers for the links Ivan!

I like the ‘Oreo’ version! That is one stylish looking phone!

Lol no harm done Andi 😉
Too much boozes these days perhaps & blurred your visions i guess? 😛

Some sites said they are expecting it on the 15 Aug to be released hurray!!! ^.^
    Cant wait!!!

At the mean time do you find Zopo ZP200 or ZP300 a better performing phone please?

Cheers & keep up the good works! 😀

    • August 2, 2012

Yep all that Tsingtao beer I’ve been chugging 😉 They are both good phones but I really prefer the zp300! Great phone and nice size.

My friend just got one Zopo ZP200. I must say it is a very good phone although the default setup is just 1650 mAH which I found a little lack for a dual sim phone. However I can pin point some points for reconsideration:
    1. They have english speaking support and english language web, which is one of the reason why my friend directly bought one online from the official web
    2. The official web offer the 2000 mAH battery bundling (including the back case since the extended battery is a bit thicker so you need to replace the original back case.
    3. The after sale support is good, well maybe especially because the English language support and web.

    Hope it help.

Oh thx guys on your inputs 😉
I’m still torn between a Zopo 300 or THL V9 or W1 all with high res screen & companies which got their own outlets in China.
I really like Zopo but the only thing is their prices are higher & they dont provide a 2nd battery like the other Chinese phones 🙁
Which are the most stable out of the bunch in running Android 4?

    • August 4, 2012

Zopo phones are actually available under another brand name for less, but I can’t remember the name… bear with me and I’ll remember it.
