Homtom is expanding its portfolio with yet another device, nothing highend mind you, but still the new Homtom HT17 should be the first phone released using the Mediatek MT6737 processor. The new CPU promises better efficiency and performance than the previous MT6735 generation, but we have to see it in action to be able to believe that.
Because the Homtom HT17 is about to enter the market we have a update on the design part of the phone. HT17 should belong to the company of this phones with its 7.9mm but still allow the comfortable hold for the users.

Homtom is apparently listening to the customer feedback so there will be more color options to buy, specifically white, dark blue and champagne gold.
Back cover of the phone is made from a custom material accentuating the elegance, but again until we hold it in our hands and see with our own eyes its hard to judge. The fingerprint sensor should be metal lined to follow the latest trends and also the fingerprint unlock speed shouldn’t exceed 0.3s.
