9 main selling points of Vernee Apollo Lite

As the launch of the Vernee Apollo Lite model grows near the marketing effort of the chinese manufacturer intesifies and as the final shot we have here their list of 9 main selling points, which should convince anybody to spend their hard earned cash to buy it.

Point 1 : Design

First point is obviously the design and in Vernee they are pretty proud how the phone looks and here are the main emphasized features for that – 2.5D Arc TP, 3D Back Cover, Perfect Length-to-Wide ratio, 30°Bevel Angle, metal unibody construction, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, body made by anodizing, 3D polishing and CNC process.

unnamed (1)

Point 2 : Hardware

Apollo Lite is certainly no slouch in the performance department, after all the deca-core Helio X20 clocked at 2.0 GHz with powerful 16-core Mali-880 GPU, 4 GB of dual channel LPDDR3 RAM and 32 GB of eMMC 5.1 memory storage expandable up to 128 GB provide enough of horsepower.

unnamed (2)

Point 3 : Lossless Type-C digital music

And for the audio battle Apollo Lite comes equipped with the new USB Type-C connector allowing digital lossless audio output for the purists. But don’t forget the 3.5mm is there too so no worries about the compatibility with your old headphones.

unnamed (4)

Point 4 : Cameras

Equipped with dual ISP and dynamic depth of field, Apollo Lite’s camera could aspire to challenge the quality opponents. By combining ISOCELL technology with the RWB (Red-White-Blue) color filter creatively, the new image sensor enhances light sensitivity and color fidelity to a good degree, allowing for an improved performance in low light environment. And dont forget PDAF, dual LED flash, 4K recording or Blue light filter.

Point 5 : Screen

The 5.5-inch FullHD display offers Sharp IGZO IPS panel to oppose the lately prevalent AMOLEDs. And with the 95% NTSC gamut, 450 nits, 1000:1 contrast and Helio X20 unique BluLight defender and Smart Chameleon display it can try to tackle it with honor.

unnamed (7)

Point 6 : Fingeprint scanner

The fingeprint scanner looks pretty nifty too with the FIDO certification, 0.1s off screen unlock, 360°readability and independent ISP, so why not list it as one of the main selling points.

unnamed (8)

Point 7 : Battery

With 3180 mAh battery and quick charge support thanks to Mediatek Pump Express 3.0 the phone looks ready to last some heavy usage and recharge in lightning fast speeds.

unnamed (9)

Point 8 : 4G support

LTE is always a plus, but we are not sure yet about the bands available. Also the dual SIM dual standby setup shrinks if you decide to use the microSD in the second SIM slot instead.

unnamed (10)

Point 9 : OS

Apollo Lite comes with pretty much clean Android 6.0 Marshmallow and Vernee promises quick and frequent updates via OTA. With open kernel source code the chance for alternative ROMs and modding exponentially increases too so thumbs up for that.

unnamed (11)

So that concludes the main 9 selling points of Vernee Apollo Lite in the eyes of its creators with a hint of our small comments, but the real judgment has to wait until the full review, which will be surely coming in the near future. In the meantime let us know what you think about the points above in the comments below.

    Soooo what is different!!!!!
Everything mentioned here has been done by someone. The only difference I see is in the Sharp IGZO IPS panel nothing else. They should trade how well optimized their device is since everyone is praising the little THOR.

mind telling me another phone with all these features with the same price point beside Qiku N4? genuine question as I’m currently searching for my next phone and this looks perfect for the price.

only thing close is the leeco le 2 but thats if you want to coprimise to no head phone jack and no expandable storage, but lets say you want something similar that has a qualcomm chip instead..

I’m fine with qualcomm as long as it’s better than mtk6753 (trash) or sd615/7. at least sd65x is good enough.

And… doesn’t have WCDMA bands for my country, well done Vernee!

    June 3, 2016

Wow, Vernee have had their own chip made just for them with ‘a powerful 16-core Mali 880 GPU’, everyone else that uses the X20/25 has to make do with only 4 cores!! Also another issue here is the MT pump express 3, this was only announced this week with MT saying it will be available from around Q3 with the P20 being the first chip to use it so not quite sure how it’s available here, again it must be that special chip that they’ve had made for them 😉

Always do further clarification before trust anything on internet. Too many info posted that is wrong (or purposely posted wrongly for commercial benefit)

And yeah more and more paid articles here, that is bad.

Why do you wonder? This is an advertising post anyway.

if you’re gonna do an advertising post, the least you can do is get your information right.

I’m really tempted to go for it, but I await unbiased reviews. The 4g LTE bands could make me choose this over a LeEco Le 2

No 3G/4G bands for the US, that only point makes it a dealbreaker

    • Mr.Flying Zoom3rz
      June 5, 2016

Don’t bother. The Americans hate the “china” phones anyway. They only love the iPhones. ?

Got my attention with Pure Android that’s for sure. Very nice stuff. Now make it $200 and take my money

    • June 3, 2016

Actually, you can buy it at 200 bucks.
There’s limited special 199 USD offers around on the web at Vernee associated webshops.

Remember though, no NFC might make it a dealbreaker for some.

I have no use for NFC. No android pay in my country

    June 6, 2016

I know it’s off subject but I can find in my country a new galaxy s6 at the price of 250 $, so it’s worth to spend 200 on this phone?
My next phone will be Chinese as well. Currently I got a redmi note 3 pro 2 gb.
