More JiaYu G3 news for and as usual some is good while some is bad! So what do you want first? The good JiaYu G3 camera and accessory news? or the bad JiaYu G3 network license news?
Let’s get the bad news out-of-the-way first shall we? We’ll it finally seems the JiaYu G3 is ready for production and the company are finally gearing up for production after finally sorting the screen issue and choosing which colours the offer the G3 in.
However due to all the time they have wasted and the constant delays, JiaYu have announced that their previously granted network license, the piece of legal paper which allows a phone manufacturer to release a phone to the public for use on China’s network, expired more than a month ago!!
Why they haven’t renewed this already is anyones guess. I’m not sure how long it takes to get a new network license but let’s keep our fingers crossed that it won’t be too long.
Now the good JiaYu G3 news!
Gizchina News of the week
The good news is that is looks like JiaYu have finally optimized the camera and video capture software for the G3 and are planning to release pre-production JiaYu G3 phones to Chinese media in the coming weeks for initial hands on and camera testing!
More good news is that JiaYu have already prepared a range of protective covers and cases for the JiaYu G3 which will launch alongside the 4.5 inch, dual-core phone.
The covers will be available in a thin silicone only option, book type case with flip open cover and even an all metal case to match the metal look of the JiaYu G3’s body!
uh, when Jiayu g3 comes out i’m going 2 have enough money to buy a Sharp SH-01D (3D without glasses with HD) hehe.
Nah, it’s a joke. This is a original design, so I understand the delay and I consider it is a nice precedent. It opens a nice future of great and cheap cell phones. The most advanced dual sims.
hi andi,
any idea when they would get the licence? hope its fast in china.
are all 3 colour options metal bodied?
and francis above mentioned its an original design. but howcome the oppo finder looks almost the same? 🙂 obviously one of them took a clue from the other. oppo is already out i think. so my guess is jiayu took a page out of the oppo. what do you say?
the 1st question is when will they get the license network, and the 2nd: can we hope that the metal & silicon case are included in the G3 original package?
The 3th question is obvious… Will we be able to get one once it’s on the market. Or are they gonna just make like 10000 and wait a few months?
I rly badly need a new freaking phone, and I want it to be good and cheap 😀
Looks promising.

Someone forgot to renew the license? Says a lot about the company. Hope the ROM won’t be buggy.

^ with their bad luck so far I wouldn’t be surprised.

I am hoping to get this phone and use it in the USA on AT&T. However it needs to be 850 and 1900 Mhz for both 2g and 3g. Anyone know if it will be? I have see different sites saying what frequencies it will have.
@Tony I know what you mean it’s difficult to know which info is correct. Check out JiaYu’s site http://www.ejiayu….. Something like that, and see if they have the correct specs. I’ll have a look later, walking to the office at the mo 😉
@Andi Thanks man! the webiste is indeed http://www.ejiayu.com and it does show that it has 850/900/1900/2100MHz for both 2g and 3g frequencies. I hope to get this phone whenever it is released. Any suggestions on where to buy? Pandawill shows it for $186 and merimobiles shows it for $269.

Hi Andi, I just discovered your website and I like it very much!!!. Now the question: The Jia Yu G3 seems too good to be true. The uncertainties about it gives me pause for buying, which by the way ..where can I buy it for the cheapest price with accessories and cover/case? It needs to be compatible with AT&T which offers GSM 850/900/1900/2100MHz for both 2g and 3g frequencies.
